I like Ascension, but a pretty negative and un-fun consequence that I'm experiencing is that:

I can't seem to get my self to rank up any of my champions that aren't currently, or, most likely will never have ascension unlocked. For instance, I can Rank 5 something pretty soon after this week's Carina's challenge mission goes live, but I look at my roster, and I'm like, its definitely gotta be Nico, my favorite champ... ... ... ... ehhh ... probably never going to be ascendable. Starky? Not a pull-able champ, who knows when, or even if they will ever address those kind of ascensions (Deathless Champions, Mile-track champs like Dark Phoenix, etc). Oh, Kitty!...nahh, honestly, probably never going to have ascension....

I don't know guys, I actually do genuinely like the concept of ascension, and I really like the crystals, but this is I think the big pitfall of it. It just feels like it's nuked the love you have for your favorite 10% of your roster.

6* s were relevant (Kate, Ronan and the likes to be precise)even in Gladiator Circuit just last year. R5 7*s would still be viable for a long time

I wouldn't stress too much, by the time any of those R5 champions will be fazed out you'll have gotten a lot of use out of them and you'll have the ability to rank 5 other champions much easier. They aren't going to be outclassed for a long time

I think they will be ascendable at some point but the big question is when? Don’t worry about ranking up a champ that’s not ascendable, they will still be competitive for a long time and with how strong some champs like Nico are, even punching up she will be viable for along time. Most people I’ve talked to seem to plan on r5 non ascendable champs. Ascension is nice because it uses different rank up resources. It’s a good boost to champs you might not want to rank up normally.

People are getting upset and quitting at the first 2 levels of ascension and they can't see it. Wait until the gap starts being wider and people realize that a 7* is worth the same as as pulling a 6*….

Eh They were already almost there anyways though. Even people who only played monthly content and didnt spend at all could still open 4 or 5 7* a month. Something was definitely going to happen whether it was 8* or ascension either way.

It will get worse when you start seeing a gap of 4+ levels of ascension. Right now at 1 or 2 levels you can barely tell a difference.

im like the opposite of this. i still rank every champ i like. i don't care if they're ascendable. i don't rank a champ that sucks or I dont like just because i ascended them. a small boost doesn't change how I feel about nova or jabari panther.

Its new and the pools are basically a soft release. Wait until the champs that people really like start gapping by many levels…
