Noob planning - Epoch Gauntlet

Realistically, how much revives are expected for a person (me) who has never played Epoch?

I'm planning to complete both Heroes and Villains for a chance at Maestro since I won't bother with completing Necropolis, let alone exploring it at this time.

I'm farming revives currently and I'm at 45 L1 revives, 21 L2 revives, 3 team revives and 10 or so L3 revives.

Do note it took me about 30 revives per run for Ordeal Gauntlet and 10-15 revives per run at Abyss

Should I continue farming for more L1 revives before back issues is gone for good?

Btw my current team plan is all R4: Photon, Karolina Dean, Okoye, Nico and Jean Grey for heroes and Serpent, Onslaught and Nefaria for starters…

If you needed 30 revives for Ordeal, you probably need 80-120 for a full run of Epoch. There are some fights that can really get you going sideways. And Ares is not easy the first time around.

First time run would probably be 10-20 for the paths and 20-30 for the boss.

It depends on if you study how Ares works. I'm also not sure if they will keep the mechanic where every revive gives you one vigor charge. If they do then you can just revive spam until the final phase. If not, you will need to learn how to dex both specials

In order to learn about epoch I decided to complete a lane for the first time, I'm not great at the game, so used 3 revives in the path and 30 against ares, have to admit that I downed my champ a few times to get more persistent vigor.

Not as impossible as I thought, I had almost given up on doing it.

Yea, I agree with Herbie. If you needed 30 revives for Ordeal which is really doable under 10 revives with the champs we have now, then you'll definitely need to prepare a Bong amount of revives for Epoch.

If you have explored Epoch, you'll have an idea. Better check out the guides to plan a real good team and lessen revives use. Ares' diffs from player to player. Some can get him in under 10, some 30. If you fought him before, you'll have an estimate.

I was planning on doing it but I don't want to lose revives this close to the gauntlet… I'm planning to wing it after watching all streamer's runs

have you done any of the epoch fight before even when they were solo fights ?

You can’t faceplow your way through in each fight with just a couple revives. These have multiple mechanics with rhythm, patterns,etc.

I say this as someone who did the individual fights and one path of epoch… ares is the least of your worries. I am not worrying about these quests at the moment, because my memory of how many starts and restarts I did to get the patterns down are burned in my mind… but there’s no restarting on fight 12. You are burning revives learning or relearning each fight.

I randomly did some of the summer of pain, etc. fights such as Iron Fist, Onslaught, etc. at the time of release. But not all of them…

If you want to be totally safe, go with 80-100 revives and have some green crystals as backup. IMO with all those items you could be able to do the quest.

I did it and don't regret, used the 2 to 3 gem on my serpent, at least now I have an idea about what I'm going to face, but it really burned resources.

There is no harm in farming more revives. I would say farm as many as you can until the back issues are active.

I hate to say it, but I'd shoot for about a hundred revives. I 100%'d epoch when it came out and honestly, some of those fights are just, well, they're just simply not fun. Its been awhile but for whatever reason Iron Fist is popping up in my mind, but yeah, Ares, honestly a pretty fun fight. You will use a ton of revives on him most likely but your not necessarily upset because its fun and unique and your revives have value (you don't just get another go, you get stronger). The path is whats going to just make this miserable.

I think i used around 40 for arres

And on average 5 revives per fight so around 120 revives 😅

You can isolate who it is based on who is on the "active now" section

Drained all my energy refills and I'm currently at 75 L1, 24 L2, 17 L3 revives and 3 team revives (with 65 L1, 16 L2, 2 L3, 16 L5 health potions and 488 4-hr crystals). Let's see how it goes once the content comes in…
