Token tracking

Most events for a free champ require you to collect a certain amount of tokens or such to exchange. Im five short on the 7* toad and its not the biggest deal missing out but its difficult to track how many is left available to aquire until near the end. By then, the online deals are gone and its frustrating to come short. Either I buy the deals early and over aquire tokens that should be free or regret not buying since I missed a few that I wasnt sure was enough or not.
My suggestion or request is maybe make deals for remaining tokens to aquire the champ after the event or make it easier to track all available means of tokens that way I know if I need to purchase a deal before the event ends.
Im guessing there is an explanation somewhere in mail that explains this or is it tied to stream only? I assumed every day on the store for the toad deal was one day to aquire the slime token otherwise I would have done an online purchase.
