How to get more catalysts as FTP

I am a FTP PVE-focused Valiant with top champs like Kushala, Karolina, Fantman, Bastion, etc., as well as enough resources to get a few R4s and soon a single R5.

However, I only have about 8 or so champions at R3, and lack enough resources to consistently diversify my roster. I have found that for questing, you can't just have a small group of "god tier" champ, but rather a toolkit of a bunch of random champs for utility in different scenarios.

If my goal is to get a bunch of champs with different roles up to R3-ish level (breadth over depth), where do I go to get all the T6 class catalysts, basics, and T4 alpha? I have like 60 million gold and 3000 iso, but I'm getting capped by catalysts.

Rather, are there certain champs that are used extensively in Act 9?

Well if FTP and PVE are both sticking points for you, then there isn't much else you can do. You can't make them appear without content, and you can't purchase them without currency. So the options are to spend on offers, or branch out to other content. Not entirely sure what you mean by PVE and if that includes AQ or not, but you're gonna need to at least get more involved in alliance based content. BGs is also useful for those catalysts. At the end of the day, you need to go after radiance and essentia if you want to improve the pace at which your account is growing.

There are very few champs that can be used in most content these days. You ultimately need a more broad and diverse roster to clear story content. I know Nefaria and Serpent stick out to me as champs I have used a lot through Act 9, but can't remember for certain if it will be the same for 9.4.

All I do nowadays are solo coliseum when a new boss drops, EQ, and infrequent bursts of Act 9 pushing. Is the game just progressing faster than my effort?

Do you do any alliance content? AQ radiance and essentia (aq, raids, colloseum) would be the way to get the rank up mats. The good news is with r5 mats coming this year, r3 mats are going to become cheaper as the year goes by.

If you arent in an alliance or doing bgs you are moving at a very much slower pace
