Precise AI and input issues – a factual report from ghost jedd (iPhone XS Max, 5G WiFi)

I've been playing MCOC for years and I want to keep enjoying the game. I'm writing this politely but with exact detail, so you can see exactly what players like me are experiencing.
My setup:
· Device: iPhone XS Max
· Connection: 5G WiFi
· In-game name: ghost jedd
Specific issues I encounter regularly (these are not "skill issues" – they are repeatable, observable problems):
1. My light intercept is consistently overpowered by the AI's medium dash
When I attempt a light intercept, the AI's medium dash beats it every time, even when my timing is correct. This makes light intercepting unreliable or impossible against aggressive AI.
2. AI throws an SP3 while inside my combo
This is not during recovery – the AI activates its Special 3 while I am actively hitting it with a combo. The special triggers mid-combo, before my animation finishes, and I cannot block or avoid it.
3. Inputs drop or glitch
I will parry or dash, and nothing happens. My champion stands still. This happens most often during critical moments, and it is not related to my device or connection (both are stable).
4. My champion moves without any prompt
Sometimes my champion will dash forward, dash back, or throw an attack without me touching the screen. This is not drift – it happens randomly and has cost me many fights.
5. AI holds block indefinitely
Defenders will hold block for 10+ seconds, refusing to heavy or dash in. Baiting becomes impossible and fights stall.
6. AI backdash into instant light intercept
The moment I dash forward, the AI dashes back and throws a light attack with no perceptible delay – faster than human reaction time.
7. AI special intercept during my dash
I have been hit by a special attack the exact frame I dash in, even when the AI was not previously winding up a special.
8. Inconsistent AI aggression
One fight the AI is passive; the next it is hyper-aggressive with frame-perfect parries and intercepts. There is no predictable rhythm to learn.
9. Input lag and frame drops
Especially on iPhone XS Max, I experience lag and frame drops during special animations, which exacerbates all of the above.
I am not asking for an easy game. I am asking for a fair game – where my skill and timing matter, and where the AI follows the same rules I do.
Kabam, you've acknowledged AI problems and announced an "AI 2.0" update for 2026. I am hopeful that update will address the specific issues I've listed above. Until then, please know that players like me are not complaining because we are bad – we are complaining because we love this game and want it to be fun again.
