10am PST is 10am PST no matter what. If the Discord message told you a time that was an hour off, that's an issue with Discord and its ability to properly translate times with places that don't observe daylight savings. In the future, just Google the PST time verse yours if you're unsure.
I googled it but it is still showing the same thing
You didnt account for dst
Edit: actually literally hit show more. I just googled the same thing as you. If you hit show more it tells you on like the next 2 lines
Stop using the TEMU version of Google!
Your 2 screenshots earlier even show something different from one another.
1st said 10am = 11:30pm
The next says it is 12.5 hours different (which would be 10:30pm India.
Anyways, as Nutz pointed out, those are probably just referring to TIMEZONE Difference (without accounting for whether each Locality itself is or is not under Daylight Saving, and in some places “how much” of Daylight saving.)
Question, from what I gather from the times being mentioned in posts here, India does NOT (?) follow Daylight Saving ??? If you were taking the 10am = 11:30pm (but the 10am being on DST would really be 9:00 Pac.StandardTime (ie, 10:00 Pac.DaylightTime which is technically what Kabam is on), which would then really be 10:30pm IST (Standard, not Daylight in India) ???
You almost really should have an actual CITY in Western Canada (ie, where Kabam is) pinned like on your Clock App, to be able to compare to ACTUAL time in your own location. So you will always be able to see exact difference, at any day of the year (since even Daylight Saving changes on different days, and even worse for Southern Hemisphere to compare). (and before I shoot myself in the foot with the next statement, did the Stream start at 10:00am local Kabam clock time ? Or when they said 10 PST, did they really mean 11am clock time (being on Daylight) ??? If clock time was 10am, proceed to below statement, else ignore).
And NO, I do not think Kabam ever changes the abbreviation usage to say PDT (Daylight based time reference) in their announcements. I think they may just always use PST, as the “TIMEZONE” reference, telling you what time they will start in Canada Kabam offices. And you would need to know how many hours different your location is.
*which, if true that Stream platform was telling people a differently converted time for where you are, that may be an issue with the Stream platform. (Unless they are literally interpreting Kabam saying DST as the non-daylight time, even though that's not what Kabam clocks say in the office, and then mis- interpreting that as the converted time that the platform is telling other people then).
TL:DT TIMEZONE vs DAYLIGHT ACTUAL CLOCKS
And then there are even some sites that are just flat out BACKWARDS (aka wrong)..
Ohh so i should have accounted for the daylight times too
Tysm guys
