9.4.2 Prowess Path - Dazzler Sp2 Prowess not Working

I'm about halfway through this path now, and it is an absolute slog (most fights are taking 5+ minutes). Having the Special Connoisseur node but not having any other nodes that allow you easy access to prowess sucks. It makes most of the best mutant champs (Jean Grey, Onslaught, Sinister) basically unusable. Making matters worse, I just learned that the prowess buff that Dazzler gains during her Sp2 isn't removing the defender's protection, so that makes her useless on this path as well.

The Dazzler thing seems like a bug and needs to be fixed, but I would like to see another node added to make these fights a bit less grindy. Something that either allows all mutant champions to gain prowess effects or gives bonus special attack damage.

There's no bug! Onslaught with CAIW and OG Storm synergy, StormX, Kitty work well. Stormx slayed this path.

The only bug I was referring to is that Dazzler gains a prowess buff during her Sp2, but that prowess isn't removing the protection on the defender.

Thanks for the tip on the CAIW and Storm synergy, btw. That's definitely making this path a lot more bearable!

It’s not a bug, just an unfortunate technicality with the node. Special Connoisseur disables the Protection if you ACTIVATE a Special while you have Prowess. The node doesn’t disable midway through a Special if you gain Prowess in the middle of it, it only checks at the moment you click the Special button. Dazzler technically gets her Prowess Buff immediately as she activates it, but since it isn’t active when you click the button, you get no credit. I know that Sunspot suffers similarly on that node since he has basically the same mechanic.
