New to Twitch Drops – A Few Questions

Hello everyone,

I recently discovered (on April 20th, 2026) that Twitch Drops are available for Marvel Contest of Champions. I came across a YouTube video by chance, which led me to register for Twitch and link my Twitch account with my Kabam account.

I noticed that Week 3 Drops are currently active, and I’ve already managed to claim all available rewards.
I have a few questions and would really appreciate some clarification:

1. Observatory Tokens - I currently have 22 Observatory Tokens. What exactly are they used for, and where can they be redeemed ?

2. Twitch Drops / Streaming Participation - I see that there are specific Twitch channels that grant watch time progress, which in turn unlock Drop rewards.
If I also want to participate as a streamer and become eligible to contribute (or be part of the Drop program), what is the correct process? Do I need to contact someone at Kabam, is there an application process, or is there a specific list/criteria to be added ?
Additionally,
are there any extra rewards or benefits beyond the standard viewer Twitch Drops for players who actively stream Marvel Contest of Champions? For example, anything related to participation, creator programs, or streamer-based incentives ?

Any guidance or official info would be greatly appreciated.

The observance tokens will be used to purchase the new and maybe improved Thor Ragnarok when he launches in a couple months. 50 observance tokens will be required to purchase him.
There are three different sets of drops. Official Kabam streams have exclusive drops once per month (unless they have special streams like they did last week). Throughout the month there are two alternating sets of streams, changing each week. One week (current week) gets you drops for watching anyone streaming the game on twitch. The other week has some drops for watching any streamer with additional drops for watching official MCoC content creators.
If you want to stream content yourself, you should automatically have drops activated for your viewers, but there is no added benefit or reward for you or anyone else streaming unless you are a member of the CCP (which you're probably a long way away from qualifying for. CCP members get the added bonus of exclusive drops every other week, but that only benefits them with increased audience engagement, which may or may not be monetarily rewarding.

How can I know in advance when Kabam is doing official streams that include drops? Is there a specific way to stay updated on these events?

Also, where can I find the official MCoC streams? Are they only on Twitch, or are there specific channels or platforms I should be following?

Drops are only available on Twitch, usually the title has Drops On or CCP Drops On. YouTube creators also do live streams but YT doesn't have drops. It's better to go with Twitch streams

Kabam streams are typically the Friday before a new EQ month at 10am PST. So if we are in the last week of EQ, then that Friday will be a Kabam stream. You can also keep tabs on the forums announcement page or discord, but they really have a bad habit of announcing these things last minute, so best to just keep the calendar on your head.

You can't get drops anywhere except for Twitch.
