BG outdated

This gamble gamemode is boring and needs something refreshing to stay relevant for players. No skills involved anymore its just outdraft your opponent and you win easy is that. I don’t think people will spend so much time in the future on a gamble gamemode honestly . Not me anymore for instance

I dont know what happened with this BG mode. When I only have 1 match to win to go to GC or to gain a milestone of Radiance, it arranged a very big players and made me loss consecutively and I lost all my effort. I think this is intended programming. Its time to delete this game.

the rewards are also outdated, and ALSO WORSE, we are getting much less essentia than we were getting trophyes even after conversion.

Old:

200 tokens objective x3, + 600 tokens objective

every rank in victory track gave like 3000-5000 tokens

and for completing victory track u were getting 30.000 tokens

New:

40 essentia objective x3 + 120 essentia objective

every rank in VT gives like 600-700 essentia

completing VT gives 5000 essentia.

but rewards are 1/5 or 1/6

what we shouldve gotten instead is this:

65 essentia objective x3 + 200 essentia objective

every rank in VT should give like 1000-1500 essentia

completing VT should give 10.000 essentia.

also radiance store hasn't been updated in a while, probably 1 year at least, and we also have Elder title now with no updated prices in the radiance store or the essentia store, making the experience worse.

I understand your point about the mode feeling less skill-based, but I think a big part of the issue is actually the matchmaking system.

In many cases, I get matched against players whose champions are significantly stronger than mine — much higher ranks, better stats, and overall roster quality. At that point, it’s not even a fair fight. I often end up forfeiting early and just losing the 90 Battle Chips, because there’s realistically no chance to compete.

The Core problem, in my opinion, is that matchmaking feels too random. Instead, it should be based primarily on prestige (or overall roster strength) to ensure fair and competitive matchups. When two players have relatively similar prestige, the fights become both challenging and skill-based.

Right now, the system can feel like a heavyweight going up against a featherweight — which doesn’t make sense competitively.

Kabam should prioritize prestige as the main matchmaking parameter, and if they want to add additional criteria, it should only be as a secondary layer (not as a replacement). A combination approach (not purely random) would likely create a much more balanced and enjoyable experience.

Otherwise, as it stands, the outcome of many matches is heavily skewed from the start, and that’s what makes the mode feel frustrating rather than skill-driven.

Whomever gets the final draft pick has to place their defense first in matches 1/3
Make it where you can ban a champion without it also banning the same in your deck

I really don't understand the matchmaking argument. Why should there be handicapping when roster progression is a choice made by the player? You choose who to rank up and who not to. You choose to spend or not spend, and any variation in between. You choose your own deck and bans. You also fight others within your current rank.

The only real solution would be for Kabam to set pre-made rosters of set rarities and ranks that everyone could build a deck from, and then compete. Which they absolutely WILL NOT DO. That would make things 100% skill/strategy based (outside of the RNG of drafting), but disincentivize the entire point of spending to get an advantage.

And they will never make a decision if the result is them making less money. Which is kind of understandable there.

Being an owner of a large, well established account (not a whale, def not competitive, but day 1 elder and end game if that could be a real thing here), I 100% support the skill/strat based solution.

You Should try withou forfeit. "Some" time ago when had some 13 r4s now 34-35 and 3 r5s i faced enemies with full deck r4s and all pay champs etc but it feels nice when you beta those :) and if just forfeit you dont get better and no points in events
