Dash back then Medium intermittent

Not sure if I’m the only one having this issue but it has happened to me 3 consecutive fights in AQ but about half the time when I dash back then forward it does a light attack instead of a medium. I’m swiping on the left side of the screen so a light attack shouldn’t even be possible.
