I feel like Kabam gave teasers before the live stream in previous years of what champions were included. Maybe I’ll be pleasantly surprised, but I tend to think it’s a lack of confidence and it will be focused on ascension rather than releasing the remaining OP 6-star locked champs.

As a mid-level spender and arena grinder, I’ve liked this event nearly as much as banquet the last couple of years but I’m thinking my wallet may be safe this May.

At first I thought it will for sure be ascension focused, but now I am not sure anymore if it will be ascension only with no new meta 7 star versions. I would not be willing to pay 30k+ units “just” to ascend dark phoenix, personally.

My shot in the dark - they make her available for a lot less (18k units) and then do ascension stuff for those who have her at that unit price point. First time owners can pay double for the ascension.

I'm fairly certain (based on the saga sig stone bug that has since been fixed) that the original plan for HoF 2 was to have it all focused on ascension with White Tiger, Spot, Dust, Attuma, Iron Man (Original) all be part of a box with the option to ascend Dark Phoenix if you spend enough.

Whether they commit to that plan or not is up in the air, but won't be surprised if its all ascension focused.

If one of the point of Ascension is to give lesser loved champions a chance to shine, being able to ascend Dark Phoenix makes the Base Pool pointless (ie. who cares that Nova, Sersi, Vision Aarkus are ascendable).
