Heavies getting parried(parry)

Why does the game allow heavies to be parried? This is so annoying in bgs. What’s worse is when it happens using juggernaut against Korg. Not even stunning Korg. Literally getting a couple unstoppable and heaving mid combo and getting parried not once not twice THREE TIMES. Stopped me from getting up the next rung and have gotten to the same spot 3 times today to go all the way back down. I absolutely can’t stand bgs. No it’s not meant to be constructive. I genuinely wanted to complain

and this stupid feature deserves a complaint. I’ve never ever seen the opponent recover mid hit of combo to parry. Especially not 3 times inside of 15 seconds. Something should be done about that

When you stop in the middle of a combo to heavy, the defender has plenty of time to parry, and it should. The resist mastery enables them to parry heavies if they're not unblockable.

You can take advantage of this as well. Just put points into the mastery, and your opponent is limited in the same way you are.

Instead, you expect the mastery to be removed from the game. Why stop there? Remove every defensive mastery since they hinder you.

@NoahSansman have you ever played a match with JUGGS vs KORG? You don’t parry Korg cause he will shrug it while he has charges so you use juggs heavy cause the unstoppable charges allow you to get hit while throwing the heavy to knock him down and this is a tried and true method. Except for today when I got parried every single time I did that. That feature should not exist for heavy attacks because it’s a block break. It’s a fundamental flaw in how interactions work such as people still getting hit while dashing back even tho in their kit it’s written they can’t be hit. It’s just a basic, fundamental, flaw in the how the interaction works. Block breaks should not be able to parried. The block part for the mastery of stand your ground is fine the parry part of that is not

No, that is NOT how you play a juggs vs korg match 😭. Also, the exact wording in the Stand Your Ground mastery is that while blocking, champions can resist a block break by a heavy attack. The way you're describing it makes it sound like a bug. Something unintentional. When in reality, it's just a defensive mastery YOU do not like.

There's nothing to be done. That's how SYG works.

I dont think you are aware, there was a time when champs can resist syg your attack during a multi hit heavy. They changed animation and fixed hitbox to align those old interaction. And they fixed it 6 yeara ago. Now SYG is working as intended.

You cannot chain a heavy after a combo unless it's specified in the champions kit. The heavy is a unique hit, it's not a part of a combo chain.

Have a tea and calm down. Your complain will lead nowhere, becuase the thing you are complaining about is working exaxtly how it supposed to work. There's nothing to fix.

Any well timed block is a parry. The window is short and when its not well timed that's where you get the resist pop up and no parry.

Oh in this meta? Still that's not how you would play it, because you'd get resisted… You can just hold a heavy and wait until he dashes in and then release it.

there is definitely something up with the A.I. and parries. Deathless Thanos in BG’s parried my first hit of my SP2 and defenders multiple other times are parrying my first hit when attempting to punish specials.

Don’t even get me started when my attempted parries don’t even input and I get smacked in the face as if I never hit block/parry.

Perhaps Thanos parried your sp2 because you threw it too long after your combo. And similarly, perhaps defenders are parrying your first hit when you punish their specials because you're dashing in too late.

Your block input not registering could be a real issue you're experiencing. But defenders always parrying you when you punish their specials points to a skill issue not an AI issue, regardless of if you've played the game for 1 day or 10 years.

I can see you're getting a little riled up. But there's an easy solution to prove you're right! Record an instance of you getting parried from punishing a special, and we will be able to easily determine if it was because you dashed in too late (skill issue) or because the AI was screwed up.

What you are mentioning is AI recovery issue.

What OP is complaining about is getting parried after a normal combo followed by trying to chain a normal heavy.

2 very very different scenarios.

No one can comment on AI issues. But getting parried due to syg is kinda open and shut case.
