Battlegrounds is the most imbalanced mp game mode in video game history. Prove me wrong

Why?

1. Matchmaking is… wait, what matchmaking? There isn’t. You get matched with waaaay higher prestige players. That is intentional, forces you spend more money. Grinding is futile. Been playing this since the beginning.
2. Hundreds (maybe even thousands) of cheaters ruining the game without compensation, actions, or solution. Cheaters actually help their economy grow as others may be forced to spend more money.
3. Do we need any more reason? This is the most horribly imbalanced multiplayer game mode ever.

Prove me wrong. If this post gets deleted, then that just proves me right even more. Kabam Game Designers or Producers, how about a comment on this. Let’s do a game dev discussion about this.

You must be one of the top whales who spend regularly. Well, you have the money, but not all players have disposable income.

Also, that doesn’t change the fact that this mode is imbalanced af. Doesn’t feel like that when you’re on the other side fighting vs lower prestige players.

Just keep playing , make your deck better , there is are lot stuff to play and get resources, eventually you will be able to play the game mode normally, don't get me wrong It does fells unfair and unbalanced but you can totally get a full deck of r4s , eventually a few r5s , I am in the process of rebuilding my deck because i stopped playing one year ago , I have very few r4s just 2 r5s but I managed to get to Vib 3 already , just keep trying even if you get close to rank up and lose 5 matches in a row keep trying eventually you'll get luck .I just got back 2 weeks ago I get the pain of being outmatched but I managed to get in the circuit last season and I will totally get in this one too , is about resilience, just don't make bgs about complaining just power through all the bs .

why would you get to rank higher than someone you are incapable of beating? I feel like everyone who whines about battlegrounds doesn't understand what the purpose of ranked gamemodes is

I stopped spending years ago when battlegrounds ruined the balance. Yes, I spent a thousand or two (in my country’s PHP currency, not USD)

still… answer this: is the matchmaking algorithm Fair or Not?

I am speaking about balancing and fairness, and I know I am not the only one having problems with this. Those who were in favor of this imbalance must have a been in the other side of the coin where they get matched with lower prestige players more often—of course you think life is good.

yes it is bro , if you know what kind of game mode you are playing yes it is fair , one year ago with a free to play deck i was able to beat accounts a lot bigger than mine , skill is part of the game mode , rng is part of the game , so its definitely fair a well built free to play deck can totally get high ranks in the circuit , you can have a lot of fun playing the game , it seem to me you just too anxious to get better rewards , and that is why u so angry about getting bigger acounts to play against , just keep playing bro you will get there eventually ,bgs is not going anywhere , 2 year ago the state of bgs was way worse than this , thronebreakes stuck at plat 2 , having to deal with whales and everything else at way lowers ranks nowadays you can easily build a good deck and have fun, just keep playing other game modes get those resources and get yourself a strong deck , complaing or felling sad for yourself wont get you there .

MCOC is a Pay-to-win game. We already know that, but this is just too much. Too obvious.

BG imbalanced from beta day 1—as a Game Designer, I know this is horribly designed. I wouldn’t approve of this, but businesses need to earn more revenue, and they just found the perfect gold mine.

For you it’s fair because you reap the benefits of a broken system. You’re likely on the better side of this or enjoying the unfair advantages. Good for you. Not so much for the rest who didn’t have the time nor the cash to drop.

Okay so you just mad in this case I thought it was a legit complain to make the game better, you can ignore everything I said is not meant for you, sorry for even trying , I hope you keep playing and understand what I said in the future , I just told you that I just got back in the game 2 weeks ago, not even close to having advantage against the accounts I play against, my account is ftp since for ever , bgs is a skill mode , you need to know every champions counters how to play against the champion , what you can and can't do, a well built free to play deck can totally go against a "pay to win" deck , you just want things to get easier through complaining instead of yourself getting better so nothing I can do at this point sorry if I said anything that offended you tho. This is my deck at vib 3 already playing against way bigger rosters I could be complaining about matchmaking but I kept playing instead I kept learning how to play against all those new champions that came out or got updated since in stoped playing one year ago . So yeah is a fair game mode . Skill still plays a big part of it so does rng . Matchmaking is the way it should be for a ranked game mode .

What I did to my deck in 2 weeks playing the game only gives me hope because I only had 4 r4s 2 weeks ago and the deck looks way better now , in 2 or 3 months I will be grinding for better rewards in the circuit and having way more fun is about understanding how the game mode works time is king for bgs so just keep playing is the best advice anyone can give you complaining won't help at all .

Well it doesn't help that every single real competitive game isn't P2W trash. In terms of P2W mobile games, Mcoc isn't that bad since technically the only mode you need to pay money to compete is BGs which is dead and useless. Don't listen to BGs defenders, all they play is Mcoc, they haven't played a non-P2W mode to understand the issue with BGs. It also doesn't help that the majority of Mcoc players are over 30 years old, so the most complex controls they can handle is tapping a screen. Even then, some of them still struggle.

I’ve played and Designed over hundreds of games, and majority were F2P. I know how MP games should be balanced so everyone is in a level playing field. I even pitched a couple of balancing methods for BG years ago—ignored, as expected.

And how about those modding cheaters? Explain how they are even allowed to slip into the game and not compensate or return lost resources to those who were cheated. As producer, I often approve compensations to affected players while immediately banning cheaters instead of waiting for the season to end.

This isn’t a game of skill if one party has a major advantage against the other. It’s like matching a featherweight against a super heavyweight. imagine a match between Ryan Garcia and Tyson Fury. Is that something you can call fair?

A lot of people claim to be game designers here, so that statement doesn't hold any weight.

Most MP games that are balanced in the way you are saying have multiple tiers of rewards for multiple tiers of players. That is not the case here, so it is not going to balanced in the way you want. You are welcome to petition for a different tier with reduced rewards that you can play in, but then you and others demanding the same will just complain about the rewards instead.

That is what this discussion is about—a petition. Not for another unranked mode, but to fix this long broken system. People have tried how others wanted it. Just keep playing, keep grinding, blah blah blah… no matter how skilled you are, if you’re pit against someone with 4x higher prestige, you’d still lose. Their attackers have higher stats than your defenders, and can beat them in less than 20s, while yours will struggle bad to even deal significant damage. I’ve been grinding all year and my roster didn’t even come close to those who now have many 7* R5 200. It’s crazy just to see their roster.

This isn’t just about skill or grinding, it’s about whose wallet is fatter.

Ranked or not, BG needs to have a level playing field for ALL players. Equity, not just equality.

If you're playing against someone with 4x your prestige, you shouldn't be doing BG and should be doing story content. But please, keep the rant going. Smoky already showed you in the screenshots above that it is very doable to compete with a lesser roster.

look, I don't say I disagree, but I've been FTP for 7 years, i have 15 R4s and 3 R5s, i explored all story content and most of the everest content, did the new carina challenges as well, Kabam does offer resources to make your account strong, but its grindy, so if u dont want to put in the time and obvsiously dont want to spend, then you cannot compete with the people who do.

Its like, I dont want to work for it, and wont spend also, but i want to be as good as the top players.

even as FTP, if u put in the time and skill u can have 30k Prestige and reach GC every month.

Also one tip for you, wait 2-3 weeks of the BG season if u want to match with lower level players, because the whales and top players get GC in the first week to get the free radiance.

Seems no one gets the point of a fair game. Lol. That’s life, I guess. Those on the other side (the better side) of the fence will always say ‘Life is good. Life is fair. Stop whining. Just deal with it.’

Still, nobody has been able to prove me wrong. Just telling me / us to accept this fact that BG will always be like this—in favour of the big spenders (and cheaters). F balancing, right? Just spend more cash to enjoy or don’t play BG at all.
