BG unfair matchmaking

I'm a ftp player and have a decent account with 5.5 mi team rating, it's been almost 2 weeks since the new BG season has started and i was starting with platinum 4, in 2 weeks, i have llayed countless matches, yet i have only been able to reach diamond one, which is just one rank above. The opponents i am facing are all whale accounts with big rankups, with 3-4 7*r5 champs in their roster, and the win rate is below maybe even 10%, i might not be the best player with my roster but still, is it possible to beat an of 10mil rating with 5.5 mil rating account??
They're giving the last piece of the new star forged blade in vibranium 5, but with this type of matchmaking is it possible for players like us to reach there??
From my POV this feels totally unfair, we try our best to do good in BGs but still end up being a free win for bigger accounts.

I wouldn't call 3-4 R5 whale accounts. I am FTP and I have 3 R5 and almost a full deck of R4.

Here's someone I faced in vibranium who was using 6* and r2 (and he wasn't a modder either). It's possible. Keep going. Minato Namikaze should find a way.

that’s definitely not normal. If that guy had my roster he’d probably be in celestial. Instead he’s lurking in vibranium with a bunch of other elders ready to take a medal from me.

I did. But a good chunk (I'd say a third or more) of the people I fought in Vib 3 and above had 7r2 in their decks, whereas I had 7r4s in my deck except for one r3.
