Guillotine (Deathless) not gaining Souls after first fight in Apex Colloseum (Air-Walker)

I looked around the Bug tracker and saw some champions may not work properly with health thresholds in Alliance Colliseums, however I just wanted to put this here as I found it happened in the most recent apex colliseum v. Air walker.

Latest version of the app on android 16 Samsung s23.

Boosts: Attack, Health, and Champion.

Why would anything different be happening after the first fight? This isn't a quest.

can you explain more about what you’re expecting to happen? I don’t see anything about souls carrying over in fights. Even if she did have that, like the above comment said this isn’t a quest.

Coliseum is not a quest, those mechanics don't work here at all. Each fight is treated as the first encounter

I think he was expecting that once the ho bar is depleted and a new hp starts, you should be able to collect souls again. Instead, once you reach a new hp bar, they just drop off and can't be replaced. (Or at least that's what I think he's saying).

I think I get what they are saying. In Deathless Guillotine's kit:

For every 5% of Max Health that Guillotine removes from her Opponent during combat, she feeds her ancestral blade and gains 1 Soul.

But in the videos, Guillotine is no longer gaining Souls after clearing 1 enemy healthbar.

Even though the healthbar resets, she should still gain souls unless I am severely missing something. After clearing the first health bar, she does not gain anymore souls. She gains them like normal in the first health bar, as you can see in the video, I gain up to about 21 souls. But after the first health bar is cleared, the souls continue to drop despite clearing 5% Oppponent HP which should give a soul.

I'm sure she would, if anyone ever thought about multiple health bars when she was developed.

Yeah, the same thing happens (fails to happen!) if you use her to fight Nick Fury.

It seems only the first health bar counts, when Deathless Guillotine is harvesting souls.

Seems like something that it would be nice for Kabam to fix. And whilst they're at it, maybe give her a Stagger or something on her SP1...

What currently happens against an opponent that normally regains health during the fight (not a complete restart like Fury or Multi-Bars).

Or for other champs who get “something” whenever they themselves lose “x” amount of health. And later regen some of their health. Do the trigger points adjust back upward after they have regained some health ?

Let's use the 5% health lost as example. Would other healing of that champ be able to allow such “occurrence” to happen MORE than 20 (100 / 5) times in a fight ?

But Nick also never actually hits 0% health, so his health bar is still only depleted once, after his second life. There's also no way to say that coliseum opponents ever hit 0%. Instead, they skip over 0% and the health bar is never actually depleted. I could see the argument for a change with coliseum, but not really for Nick. But even still, I can't imagine why they would change how Guilly works with multiple health bars if there's never actually a bar fully depleting.

I mean, what was OG/Deathless Guillotine's initial design? Her one (initially unique) piece of utility was heal reversal: she was the ultimate killer of the strongest regenerating champions. How many of us used that bit of utility to clear RoL Wolverine? I know I did, with a 4* Guilly...

This issue essentially means that if she doesn't kill them quick enough, then they can regenerate past the point where she can do anything to them. Once they've recovered 100% of their health, she can't gain new souls, and after they've expired, she's got no way to obtain new ones.

Just as an interesting point, if this were 'fixed', both versions of Guillotine would become strong options for Nick Fury, since he rapidly loses 70% of his health after regaining it all; which would give 'fixed' Guillotine a huge surge of Soul charges.
