Please stop putting chase pieces in BGs.

I am asking in the humblest way possible to please stop putting stellar forged and other chase pieces in BGs (atleast for a little while). I understand that it is part of the game whether I like it or not, but I am so fatigued with having to play a game mode I hate. For context, Im in a plat 5 alliance with a very nice sized account, and have been a die hard player since 2018 (with a 1.5 year break to play MFR, which netmarble also ruined). The final blade piece is all I have left for the month as far as content goes, and every time I click on the app, my brain says "god f** damnit," and I can feel my desire to play fading. And it isnt that I lose all my matchups either - I am probably batting about .600 in that respect. BGs simply takes too long, and is incredibly boring facing the same 5 champs day in and day out. I just got done playing 2 matches, and it took 30 friggin minutes. 30 minutes with 1 win = 1/3 of 1/5 of what I have left to get the blade piece. At that rate, it will take atleast 6 hours of watching people take forever to select champs to get to the final piece. Now that I say that "outloud," i feel even more deflated.

I understand that there is no way to make everyone happy in this game, and i am sure some folks still enjoy it. I am simply asking for a break when it comes to being forced to play a game mode i dont enjoy.

If it has to be tied to BGs, at least put them in a separate solo event!

Tired of hearing this.. The whole point of a chase is to put you in areas of the game you’re not used to or don’t typically play in order to make you step out of your comfort zone and earn the pieces. It’s a chase for an insanely strong updated version of doctor doom… this is not supposed to be a fun easy thing. You’re supposed to fight through fire to earn the pieces, if the chase was free and easy what would be the point ?

When the chase is done they want us to be able to look back and say “damn I did that, I earned these stellar champs with hard work” not “oh boy I’m so happy I finally waited a year, good thing Kabam easily handed over these pieces so I can get the champs”

I hate incursions and refuse to play it, but I play it for the stellar pieces, why? Because it’s an end game chase and without it I just don’t get the champs. Sometimes you have to step out of your comfort zone to earn high end rewards. If the chase was easy and free it would just be another silly thing to keep track of and get done like AQ.

Doing it this way not only makes it challenging which feels WAY more rewarding when you finally earn the champs but also gives players something to chase and work for. Gives you a reason to rank certain champs or to step out of your comfort zone and play game modes you typically wouldn’t play.

Plus we have all season, two whole weeks still and people are complaining about whales as if this isn’t the start of the season. If your roster is struggling just wait a little bit lol… 🤦🏻 higher progressed rosters will rank up and hit the glad circuit and that will give you more room to grind against similar rosters.

i hear what you are saying, but its not that i take issue with the difficulty or the commitment, its simply that i absolutely despise battlegrounds from the perspective of 1) the time involved and 2) the mind numbing repitition of the same defenders over and over. My roster is 13 mill with almost 17k prestige, and i have done all story content and some everest. In avg, i regularly hit 26+ aw bonuses per war, and solo nightmare raids bosses before teammates even join my lane. Skill and roster is not a complaint here. And i completely agree about the "rewarding feeling" from doing hard content, but there is nothing rewarding about winning/losing matchups because you couldnt draft the counter you need or because yelenas sp1 takes up half the protection timer. Besides, skill left the chat the moment they took away attacker hp bonuses. I felt extremely "rewarded" getting the shiny maestro on the first day it was available, and i had a great time with carinas. Those are waaaaayyyyy more difficult than bgs and i loved it. It simply isnt a fun game mode, and i want just one chase champ that doesnt require bg grind .

I hear you, but the 2500 unit price point for this versus the deathless pieces makes it much more palatable. You could easily grind arena for much less time in two weeks for far less time than you grind BGs unless you are a top tier BG player.

i also admit, i feel bad as i am always one of those big accounts that waits to the end to finish victory track. I know im ruining the game for someone when i pull up w/4 x r5s, and they only have one. But its not like i have a choice either. If i want the piece and i hate bgs, it makes the most sense for me to wait to push till i can do it as easily as possible. I always try to use the "polite" emotes like waving symbiote and gg at the end of matches so i dont leave the opponent hating me, but i wish i was not forced into that position in the first place

that is some consolation, but variety is the spice of life right? We could always try 1 chase champ that doesnt need a bg piece. A second carinas challenge piece, possibly tied to early acts and specific low star champs would be way more engaging imo. Idk, im not much of an ideas guy for this stuff

But OP,Brace yourself, 2 more SL champs are pending. Both of those will have 1 piece in BG. It's a standard formula of a chase champs.

Matter of fact people know the next champs will have 2 pieces in GC before it happens. If they are hiding it they suck at hiding things and I expect better hiding.

TBH I think the most annoying part is its speed based and that protection is the win or loss in the end. Having no points for health makes matches a lot harder for most average players getting things in the game.
Believe I am on the verg myself of just buying the piece. I am not a fan overall of BGS, but I do grind to GC at least but this time around I cannot even get out of Plat 3 and thats been like that for almost a week now.
I do agree wit the OP in lots of ways, and I understand a "Chase Piece" but at least make it doable, points for health would change an outcome of a match dramatically.

The problem is not the piece, where its placed or how to get it. The problem is that the meta is horrible, the mode can be grindy; but at least it could have some kind of attempt to be fun. This dumb meta is not it.

-Which indirectly inflated everyone's roster to be full of meta attacker and meta defenders.

Now clone decks are fighting against clone decks. And everyone hates eveyone.

Good banquets usually ruin it for non and low spenders. We had 2 or 3 terrible banquets so people probably forgot.

One thing this banquet did was not just boost the top cream, but made all active players catchup by getting everyone closer to 30 r4 deck. I know I didn't had full r4 deck but I could draft 7 r4s. That made a difference.

And then there was 6 week Bgs, eww. Hated that.

unless they bump the rewards up to a level that we honestly cannot afford to resist, I am never playing BGs again. This makes absolutely no sense. Just let the whales have their game mode and endlessly fight each other pls.

Kabam knows BGs is dead. This is why they keep putting chase pieces there. This artificially inflates the BGs player count making it look like BGs is doing good when it is not.

Not wanting to play BGs is not a skill issue. Don't let the BGs losers tell you that. Nobody cares about your mobile game rank, it means nothing. Some people are just too trash for PC or Console games so they need to inflate their ego by grinding a P2W mobile game mode. Pretty sad if you ask me

when is the piece going to be available for purchase? That’s really my only question. Kabam will not stop trying to make BGs a thing. So chase pieces will always be there. For my own sanity, I just head to arenas to get the units I need to buy the stuff
