P2W/Exclusive 7* champions.. why?????

So let's say you just came back to the game recently, and you want 7* scorpion, or yondu, or valkyrie, or abs man, or kitty or kingpin, claire voyant, cap britain, red guardian, tigra... and so on and so forth..

you can't get them, because you missed out, amazing, now just wait till the next sales event and hope they will come back again... why is this a thing?

when we only had 6* champions this was never the case...ever.

you had the featured champions, which got added to the basic crystal after a few months..

but now you cant get certain champions because they were made exclusive..

oh yeah lets also not talk about dark phoenix which is strictly a p2w champion, just make sure you have 30k and go back in time 1 year ago to buy the champion because she aint coming back this year and who knows when?

I kinda get it with the deathless and the stellar forged chase, this is something you work towards and they're new exclusive additions for the absolute top players.

but Tigra is available as a 6*, if i want the 7* what am i supposed to do? or what if i want the 7* shehulk? if u just came back to the game you're kinda screwed, and spending thousands and thousands of units on these champs even if the events come back, its not a fun way to play the game, what is fun is when you save shards and open crystals or when you complete content and get to win these champions (like selectors in the carina ccp or carina vol 4, or wheel of fate even ).

this was not a good decision for the good of the players, this was strictly to MONETIZE old champions and create this peasant gate towards FTP or newer players, this should not have been accepted and cheered by the players, it is anti-player and more towards spending.

thank you, and please take a different approach and add these champions into a radiance crystal or a permanent way to acquire in the game, some selectors in challenges or just add them to the basic pool or something.

do you really need someone to explain the logic of short term sales, creating scarcity, etc? You may not like it, but “why” Kabam uses this kind of sales strategy is really pretty obvious.

They'll make an appearance in other crystals as all of them aside from dark phoenix do and then go to the basic probably after a year or so

Why they do it is obvious, but should they do it from a player's perspective is a different question.

Scorpion, Hulkling, and the others were all part of the normal champion release system available to everyone through the featured 6* crystal and basic relatively quickly.

Now they're behind heavy grind and money paywalls and available much later.

I don't blame Kabam for creating value and cashing in on it, but this is greed and I don't think that players were spoiled with these champs when originally released and good champs should just be a normal part of a game.

I do have a couple of them, Hulking, Kitty Pryde, X23, Phoenix, karnak, rhyno, but this doesn't mean i agree with the approach the company is taking in distributing these champions, even if i had all of them, this doesnt mean i want to spend thousands on units every sale event and never miss a single sale just to acquire champions that should be available in the basic pool!! as they were available in the 6* form..

My sincere advice is just don’t sweat it. I skipped HoF entirely when it originally took place. Didn’t feel like I really needed any of those champs, and you know what? I was right. It was fine. Waited a few more events, got them all anyway. FAM is still sitting unduped at r1. So is KP, for that matter.

No champ is essential anymore. I understand fomo is still real, but try to take the long view.

Those were explicitly stated to be trophy champions, like Dark phoniex and the rest, the one's Op is talking about are the ones that usually enter the basic pool after some months but kabam is being greedy As always
