Ascendable Champion rank up gem

Hi Kabam,

With the recent event, I have a total of 9 ascendable champion rank up gems 1> 2 (of which 6 will expire in 14 days) and no ascendable champion to rank up !

Can’t even trade them for heart of fire or omega days rank up gems as all those are already rank 2+ !

The other proposed trades are worthless (exchanging the equivalent of multiple catalysts against shards 😑) can’t we just have a trade 1 ascendable to 1 generic ? Or give us the possibility to keep 10 of those in our inventory ?

I almost had the same problem with 11 lucky I had 11 of ascensions champions. So for me i won’t lose but there 100 percent should increase those limits to at least 10

It's amazing that the last milestone for the realm event is a R3 gem for paragon+ and there's no better option for elder at the very least.

Pls kabam, speaking for all elders, provide R4 gem for us.

I kind of agree with this. Im assuming many elders have already r3d many if not all of the eligible champs. Although I doubt it'll change.

There's not a single ascendable champion that you have at rank 1?

I definitely wouldn't expect a trade for generic gems. That just wouldn't make sense given that everything is based off limited pools. At a minimum, a trade outside of what is already available shouldn't be a 1:1.

They could just increase the number of gem we can stock in the inventory. They will be use for the next ascendable I will drop 🤷‍♂️

Since the gems are supposed to work on stellar forged blade when he becomes ascendable, I assume that means theyll work for any champ that becomes ascendable in the future as well.

same problem here , nothing to use them on. I stopped buying the crystals day one because I don’t want more of this problem. Also can’t use trade in for Omega days or Heart of fire RuG champs because all of those are also ranked already.

Has anyone at Kabam mentioned a solution? I doubt a support ticket will do anything

They should rise a cap for those rankups but…. They listening but don’t CARE. Ive done all they milestones on day one but few minutes ago i bought 10 more and get my 11th 1-2 rankup… i will not buy a single one for the rest of the event. This is te worst event ever. No new champs and those rankup fckup is just to much to handle as a whale

Kabam responded to my ticket : They understand the issue but they don't want to increase the inventory capacity or give the possibility to exchange the gem…

So basically, you can spend your money on their crystals but if you are "lucky" enough to get rank up gems you can't use that will expire in less than 2 weeks, it's your problem not theirs !

They should have know some players would already have all ascendable 7 stars at rank 2 and all heart of fire and omega days champions at rank 2…they have all the data and yet they provide no solution… too bad you lost your money on those crystals….

So @Kabam (Osaurus) Rex is this how the problem of those gem overflow will end ?

Will it be the same for the next event if we spend money and have the "luck" to get yet unusable rank up gem ?

I would love to be able to exchange the 1-2 for a generic. I am in the same boat as I only have a handful of 7* champions left to rank up to rank 2 as I'm only missing 9 7* in total and vast majority are unavailable and will be unavailable for awhile between banquet and hitting level 70 - goldpool, Kang, punisher, ultron, weapon x.

At least with Pixie, ruby Thursday, ghost rider, and Wave will be available in titans, but when they are available outside of spending they will be well beyond the expiration of any future 1-2 gems I pull from crystals that will be in overflow. Even Thor Ragnarok or reworked Cable wouldn't be released before they could be used.

Yes there is SF blade thay will be able to be eligible, but 95% of the players thay have him, have already brought him to r3 or r4 cause of prestige. Let's not kid ourselves there.

And yes, thay exchange is a ripoff when you would need to exchange 8 of those to get the t4cc needed to rank up from 1-2. While I think that exchanging for other types of 1-2 rank up gems like heart of fire or omega days, but again most players already have those champs at r3 or r4.

I think this overflow/unusable rank up gems was something that was completely and understanably overlooked when the decision was made to postpone 8* champs and pivoting with ascension. I totally understand why as this was uncharted territory with how the previous patterns have been with 6* and 7*'s were released. I'm not sure what the fix is and maybe a year or two from now these 1-2 rank up gems will be like an ascension level rank up gems in the future.

fun fact :

While you can only store 3 rank up gem, even if you can get more then 10 in the crystals, you can only get 1 ascendable awakening gem but can store up to 250 ascendable awakening gems in your inventory…

You can't “currently” use it on SF Blade.

BUT (as mentioned), once he actually becomes ascendable in game, he will be able to use these specific gems on him too. Tag is there already, but not quite ready yet.

For those with the overflow, what if they would allow you to trade two 1>2 gems for one 2>3 gem, and so forth. I would think that would be fair enough and not really break any balance.
