Why I cannot use ascendable champion rank up gem on ascendable stellar forged Blade?

This is stupid AF.
SF Blade is ascendable, but I cannot use rank up gem from metamorphosis event.
I can use the gem on any ascendable champion, even SF StarLord. But not Blade. What the duck?

It will work once his ascension becomes available. No one knows why, only that that is how it's going to work.

I have no doubt this is accurate. but it shouldn't show him as an ascendable champ if the gem can't be used now. I know I'm asking a lot of kabam

I have the same question with two 1-2 RUG’s in overflow and no other 7* to rank up- and they’ll expire before the new Titan crystal updates 😭

I also have been trying to use a rank up gem on my already ascended Dust, but I cannot. I haven’t seen anyone else having an issue with any champion besides SF Blade. Please tell me I’m not the only one

Obvious question, is your Dust already LEVELED up, ready to be ranked up ?

Show her rankup screen. (does it have right arrows to different gems (showing Generic gem by default but can scroll right to this specific gem ?)

Rankup Gems are NOT applicable at the champ's pop-up USE ITEMS screen.

You have to use them from the UPGRADE - RANK UP tab (from your other pic, next to Level Up.

I’ve got both Class and Generic Rankup Gems available for a sample champ I tested, not useable from Use Items, but go to Upgrade Rankup and both were options (and so would the Ascendable gem be available in the same Upgrade screen).

just like you can't try to do a USE ITEMS being ISO to level up from Use Items.

I put in a support ticket and they fixed it so the ascendable rank up gem works on Blade now

Actually, probably just coincidence to timing of your ticket.

Blade's Ascension status is available now. Objective to do so just became available to earn.

So now people can use the Rankup Gem on him too.

they had blocked the awakening gem use so people wouldnt waste it on Blade with the objective coming. Coincidence or not, they changed it before the objective which went live and that saved my rank up gem from expiring.
