Metamorphosis Crystals Purchase from Webstore Don't Count?

It appears that Metamorphosis Crystals Purchased from the webstore don't count as part the Metamorphosis solo event? I know it does explicitly say "Purchase Empowered crystals from the Crystal Vault", but in the past for these types of events, cash purchases have counted.

Why the change or is this a bug?

It does. You have to open them first…

It’s 2 points for purchasing empowered crystals and 2 points for opening metamorphosis crystals. So for those it’s only points for opening. You don’t get opening + buying points for anything.

Yes, I misread it, thank you. I was conflating Empowered Crystals with Metamorphosis Crystals. This is only 2 points per opening of Metamorphosis Crystals regardless of the source. If you also wanted to purchase Empowered Crystals using units, that appears to also give you credit in the event.
