Minor Collectives Issue

I’ve noticed a minor issue with collectives recently. It is my understanding that the goal of collectives is to collect as many high ranking captains as possible and rank them up as much as possible as well to maximize the boosts received from the collective ranks. I have noticed a discrepancy with the Mystic collective with one of the characters chosen as a captain. I have wanted this captain for a long while, but am unable to acquire a 7* Scarlet Witch (from the sigil) because I am a free-to-play player. I work hard for the resources I have, in fact I 100% explored 2.9.4 within about 3 days from release. My time and resources are precious, but I would gladly part with a reasonable number of units or Essentia to acquire this captain necessary to my mystic collective. Can we please get a way to obtain this champion which the MCOC team has chosen to be necessary to the upgrading of our accounts, or will the ability to continue ranking up my mystic collective to the maximum extent continue to be locked behind a pay-wall.

A single champ is not necessary for ranking collectives. If you want her, pay for her. If you don't, then that's a thousand points you'll have to get elsewhere.

Nope; that’s 1,000 points I’m supposed to be able to get, but am not allowed to obtain unless I break open the bank. They’re not elsewhere to obtain…they’re right there and unobtainable.

There'll always be "spend-only" aspects of the game, and that'll impact collectives too.

Many players are missing one/more than one/ all of the "trophy champs" (Kang, OG Thanos, Weapon X, Jessica Jones, OG Vision, Scarlet Witch) as 7* because they're obtainable only during banquet.

Just because you're missing out on 1000 points doesn't mean you're lagging behind massively

They're not unobtainable, you just don't want to do what is necessary to obtain them. And that is absolutely fine.

I didn’t complain about the banquet champs though or any of the champs that you have to get from content. If I really wanted to work for it, those are completely obtainable to someone who puts in the time. I don’t want free champs or deep discounts, I just want to be able to work hard to achieve what everybody else can achieve. Another point, it’s not just 1,000 points; a 7* rank 5 character contributes 1,670 points and that is more than half of a full collective rank up. My point is that she cannot be obtained above a 3* champ, and that she is necessary to maximize my Mystic collective progression which is my goal.

If you're not willing to pay to get her, then you're SOL! Scarlett witch is always going to be Sigil exclusive.

Level 19-20 is like 8k points, and we can assume it'll be higher from there. One champ will not make a difference. Either pay for her or be a very tiny bit behind in the long run.

You're assuming sigil witch is achievable by everyone except you, which is not true.
