Kabam messed up by putting him 4th in the fight order.

His node is the only one where its impossible to actually hit 99 Furies. Not only does it require you to build to a total of 990 hits in less than five minutes, but the Fury passives can be prevented by glancing. As a result, even the best runs are only clearing around 50 bars.

If he'd been the first fight, clearing 50 bars in a single run would have felt great! Most normal coliseum runs only do like 6-8 bars! 50 bars? I can only dream!

But instead, his fight comes after we've already felt the joys of Knull vs Jack, Onslaught vs Squirrel Girl and Kushala vs Vox, where getting to 99 Furies is easy and clearing 150 bars in a run is common. 50 bars feels like a slog by comparison.

Yeah, I've really enjoyed the other three fights, but this one was a huge miss. I actually had more issues in Threat Level 4 than 5. In 5, I had the required combo-focused champions ranked up, so while it took longer than the other fights, I did get him down eventually without too much effort. However, when I then tried doing it with 6*s, I realized that I didn't have any champ ranked up who could ramp up a combo quickly. I have plenty of 6* skill champions ranked up, but none of them build combos in the way that's required for this fight. That started being a thing in that class after I'd moved away from ranking up 6*s, and it meant that I had to get to those 990 hits with normal 5-hit combos. Which was just….ugh.

Requiring a long combo to reach all of those fury passives isn't necessarily a bad idea for the skill class, but I think you would have to cut the required number of hits in that combo drastically. Even Mr. Skill Rank-Up Extraordinaire himself, Stellar-Forged Star-Lord, caps out at 400 hits. Having you ramp twice that and some change (with no other champion being able to even get close to those numbers of hits in that time frame) just seemed needlessly excessive.

I tried using Aegon since he would theoretically reach his max potential at around the same time he'd hit the max number of fury passives, but he had no chance of getting there within the time limit. It just seemed really and strangely restrictive, and it's not like you did enough damage at, say, 20 fury passives that it didn't matter if you never got up to the full 99.

Isn't it a bit absurd that we are crying on not gettibg more than 50 health bars when you are likely been averaging 5 in the solo and alliance coliseum?

Yes Knull vs. Jack was a thrill because you could logically get all 150 in one fight and it wasnt even difficult to do so. However, this is correct where the average health bars you can complete reduces as the month progresses because of nodes/defender.

By the way, you can do 80+ bars against CAIW using Kate Bishop by maintaining and stockpiling the coldsnap from her sp 1.

That’s a great run. What specifically did you do? Ordinary Okoye playtime building to Sp2 or something else?

I never ranked the 5* version up, so she’s not an option for me (or likewise for some other folks on this thread). I did use her for TL5 but found myself topping out around 50 bars.

Would love to know how you played it.

sp2 and many heavys to keep debuffs on caiw. If u don’t have her you can use yelena Zemo monkey. All of them should take atleast 50 bars

Yeah, that was my point. If CAIW was the first fight, we'd probably have been hyped to clear 10 health bars per minute. It's only in comparison to the other three fights that 50 bars actually feels slow.

(It's also only 5 energy, which is basically nothing. This whole Coliseum has been a win for players IMO.)
