Dear Kabam; Fix Your AI Already!!!!!

Doing this slog of a BG grind for the last Blade piece has really revealed to me that the AI is just still absolutely terrible.
Here are 3 quick examples of many I’ve encountered:

Me as Spider Woman vs Red Skull:
So I get two sp1s off, 2 full stacks of power stings on him and am spacing the heavies to remove the protections but he refuses to throw the sp1.
Until that is, the protection comes back, the stings are purified, and a split second later, wouldn’t you know it an sp1 is thrown.
But Kabam, haven’t you said the AI doesn’t know buffs and debuffs and take any of those into account? BS.

Playing as Onslaught: How many flippin times am I going to heavy into a sp1 and after the first heavy hit and throwing the sp1, how many times is the AI going to block the special? Again, it’s BS.

Playing against High Evolutionary:
No matter how good I time it, he is so highly evolved that he can throw a light or dex my counter attack without finishing the heavy animation. It’s such BS.

No more statements with no deadlines or “we are working on it and will update you all”, it’s been YEARS. FIX THE AI!!!!

Also, everyone else, reply with whatever AI BS you’ve dealt with. Let them know we’re still incredibly frustrated and they need to stop procrastinating.

I almost forgot, Kabam, remember to let us know when it’s fixed!

I’m old enough to remember a promise made from Kabam that they’d never change or alter the AI without telling us.

Still amazed that the AI learned how to side step all on its own. Amazing!

Have you guys seen the one where Tigra charges a heavy and phases your projectile special.. and then punishes you for throwing it? 😂

Firstly, it's a violation of when a character should or should not have its inputs available/recovery time (but this occurs so often now anyway) but yeah.. let's even disregard the fact that I chain the special to a combo properly (been playing since 2016) .. but why in the world would the AI choose to charge a heavy with a special attack a fraction of a second from connecting with them? And it just happens to be the only character in the game who uses a heavy charge to phase projectiles (I think 🤔)?

I've encountered it numerous times and I'll probably try to capture it in footage lol

Over a year ago, I told you everyone here that we'd be waiting if we didn't pressure them as a community to make immediate adjustments.

It's amazing the community thought this was going to get done in a reasonable time.

Worst that happens? This thread gets some eyeballs and everyone sees Kabam not do a thing about it.

I remember back then you could reliably counter a heavy attack with normal attack but nowadays defender recovers ridiculously fast sometimes.

I too have faced the same issue with onslaught's sp1 and that tigra phasing through projectiles.

Not to mention how fast AI recovers from special attacks and the way it just walks up to you slowly and intercepts you with light attack. It needs to change.

I think I once posted a very specific one regarding heavy attack recovery only, but a full compilation would be fun, if for no other reason than humor.. I remember seeing that footage of Enchantress full dex of a 3 part special lol.. that one was pretty good

The protection returned, the ‘severe’ debuffs were purified. Yep.

I was just mentioning it for the passive AI till the stings were gone, and the blatant Kabam lie about how their AI works, (or, let try to be fair and call it an unintended bug), but that’s another thing that’s not working right.

I believe you have said that the AI doesn’t ‘know’ about buffs, debuffs, or nodes.

Then why, on multiple occasions does the opponent in this BG meta, right before the stun immunity comes into effect, do everything but run in? It does that ‘walk up to you and light attack’ right until the split second stun immunity comes into play, then it’ll rush in.
All the time when I’m using Mr Sinister, it’s the darnedest thing.

Fix the AI kabam.

Walk in light attack is what makes me crazy. How am I supposed to intercept the opponent (e.g. Enchantress) if A.I. just slowly walks forward and uses light attack at the shortest distance that there’s no hope blocking it or starting my combo?

Another annoying thing is when A.I. plays passive, standing in block or even without. You try to dex - and it immediately intercepts you or throws a special into your face.

Opposite situation to when A.I. doesn’t throw specials - is when it throws specials. It is not even about Enchantress or Spider Woman, just some random regular fight. You are holding block, A.I. is standing, watching, watching and then throwing a special. This is ridiculous: A.I. doesn’t throw specials when you bait for it, when you are open, and throws special when you are closed.

A.I. is definitely broken and it is gets broken more and more each month. No beautiful overlays on champions or new champions frames will save the game if it is barely unplayable in base mechanics.

Please be honest about/fix the AI

Remember, we were told that the AI does not have any ‘knowledge’ about buffs or debuffs during a fight.

This one just happened now. Nick Fury against Infinity Cap in the Roll Call-iseum.

3 (3!!!!) times Cap was at 2.5-2.75 bars of power and I was baiting, baiting, baiting but he wouldn’t throw the sp2.

Until a split second after the unblockable buff activates then he throws it right away.

Be honest about the AI Kabam

The one thing I find most egregious is always Dr Doom's AI. No other champion does heavy attacks into the air like he does, after you have been hit. Its like he knows that u have a shock on you, and that it will stun you. Same with mordo, he always stands in the corner, holding block for steadfast and power gain. You can't honestly tell us the AI is a braindead button masher.
