Metamorphosis Keys removed from inventory after event ended.

I was rushing to complete the side quest colisseum today before the event expired. I managed to claim 3 box keys but the event expired so I was unable to use them on the box. Then about an hour after, the keys seem to have been removed from my inventory, so have I lost out on the rewards? Usually there's at least a week to claim rewards after an event finishes, so it's disappointing that that didn't happen this time.

Yes the event ended when the new EQ reset.

The keys turn into 7-stat shards when unused (any key turns to shards for future telling this).

Yes u missed out on claiming box champions.
