Just how good is SF Blade?

For various reasons I missed some pieces to get SF Blade and now he's been out a while and people have him I'm wondering if he's good enough to drop units on to buy selectors for.
I need 3 so 7.5k units, I have 19k units just from playing the game so while you could say 7.5k units is £250 or whatever they haven't actually cost me anything in real life money.

Is he a decent champion or just a needed piece of you want to go for SF Doom?

I like him. He’s R3 at the moment but will go to R4 when I get the rank up materials to do it. I don’t have Madeline yet so can’t compare, but if his damage output is lower he’s also a lot easier to play.

He really needs to be fighting Cosmics and Gods to get the best from him though, so although he’s great in those scenarios he probably doesn’t have the range other mystics have. He also definitely not a defender of any kind.

I would keep the units and wait to see if you get the rest. One champ is easy to pay for but if you hit a brick wall again it gets spendy.

Unless the offer will expire, I'd hold.

I was about to take him to r5 yesterday, then held off. His regen is absolutely insane. It's definitely an ability others would consider to be broken. However, it's balanced off with his lack of damage, which is decent (not great). He shines in monthly EQ as well as in incursions, but he's not great for BG.

you’re gonna need a lot of regen because of how long it takes to kill your opponent.

(Regen is the most overrated utility.)

compared to regular he gives degen, which almost every champ isn’t immune to so he will power gain and heal, where as regular only opponents that bleed he gets his power gain, heals a lilittle slower then the original. I used him in the the new incursions, helped to heal him while going through the levels. I have him r4 max sig.
