Archangel Kit Change

I fought magneto today and realized archangel’s parry wasn’t working reliably. I checked his kit and his immunity to AA reduction has been changed to only include personal abilities.
Personally I don’t think it’s a big deal, seems like a fair change considering how strong that immunity became over time. The fact it still affects his personal abilities is enough for me.

Archangel's parries have been failing for a long time. If I remember correctly, magneto was not able to fail the parries.

Seems like he has been changed. When I had DLL about it, he had said that the game team told him that he was not bugged. And the patch notes also mentioned that his description was going to change

That’s something I noticed too. I could not parry magneto and red skull reliably.

Another reason to not pay a fortune on AA

probably wouldn’t care if it was just a a few thousand units to get him, but since I am elder I paid full price. The wasted units in this event keep accumulating …

yep and everyone will continue to spend that is why they keep doing stuff like this but i feel he was nerfed a long time ago he don’t land bleeds like he used to from his heavies they say rng but that is **** he used to land like 50% of the hits like it says in his kit but before i quit using him as a 6* i’d throw 4-5 heavy attacks before getting one bleed to land. but dll straight said on one of his streams they will purposefully make champs underperform and when o asked him clarify that statement he banned me from his twitch channel so that shows the kind of deception that goes on there. but past that i feel like those of us who had to spend the full amount should get our units back if they don’t take it from the ones who got him for 1,000 units that’s just my opinion though and they obviously could care less about that

If I remember right, the description change in the Sig Ability was like this for a long time. Like maybe years.

Edit: It sucks that he can't reliably parry someone like Red Skull, I thought it would be fine in duels since there's no nodes.

Edit 2: So OP's pic is from auntmai and that site hasn't been updated since mid 2024 so the change has been up for a long time.

Edit 3: So why can't we parry Mags or Redskull reliably anymore in duels? There's no nodes attached so AA can't have his ability accuracy reduced by them.

The change in description happened this update. The issue is that Party is not a personal ability. And hence it's not protected anymore

i’m just done caring anymore.

I watched the CCP videos with archangel taking these fights. And the bait and switch. Just like the dirt cheap deals… they simply don’t care. I’m done caring about competitiveness in this game. Their lack of integrity on display this weekend has taken all the fun out of it for me.

it's funny how they hyped 7 star archangel so much in streams, knowing full well how excited everyone would be. It seems like those streams would have provided multiple opportunities to discuss the kit change.
