So youve never been disappointed before and wanted someone to relate with?

I'm not pro-Kabam but, don't use units on crystals unless you have extra (i.e. all your masteries are nicely set up, you don't need potions etc) and don't mind wasting it on a gamble.

I used 600 units I had left over from gifting last month and got a 5* Taskmaster, yes it isn't the greatest but a 5* from 600 units is amazing.

All luck I'm afraid, not got any AA ones, don't want to risk it 😂

$40? Someone spent $1000 last year for Blade but didn't get him. This game is luck based, my friend.

So...I opened 130 of those crystals today. I ended up pulling 2 5 star groots, and a 5 star padlock. The odds of me pulling 2 of the same champ are significantly lower than pulling the featured champ.ive opened every featured grand master crystal since blade some more crystals then this time. And haven't gotten a single featured champ yet.

That's like saying "i buy 500 lottery tickets but didn't win the lottery!".

No need to state the obvious. Could've told u the outcome even before you opened those crystals.

    1 - who is padlock
2 - The odds of getting the same champ twice is the same as getting any champ. When will people actually read that no crystal pull affects any other. Its the same odds on every pull as to who you get. Seriously, I don't understand why people need to be told this, why would one affect the next one? Toss a coin. Toss it again. Did the first time have any effect on the 2nd one, no, of course it didn't

    Well, math tells you otherwise...

In your coin example: Yes, the odds for getting heads on the first try are 0.5 and yes, the odds for getting heads the second time are also 0.5.

BUT: The odds for getting heads BOTH times are actually 0.5 * 0.5 = 0.25. So the odds are lower for getting the same result twice.

And to prove the math: With 2 coin tosses there are 4 possible outcomes:
    - 1st heads, 2nd tails
    - 1st tails, 2nd heads
    - 1st tails, 2nd tails
    - 1st heads, 2nd heads.

Thus, the odds for getting one specific result are 1 out of 4, hence 0.25.

Same basic principal goes for the champs in the crystal, so the odds for getting the same champ twice are lower...

    Just my 2 cents...

But the odds of tossing the same thing twice in a row are still 50%

    There are 4 options
    1. Head, head
    2. Head, tails
    3. Tails, head
    4. Tails, tails

you are smart @ss again, too smart to be true.how can you compare a coin, which has 2 sides, with the crystal roll, when you have more than 80-90 heroes in the pool?there is no chance to pull the same hero.are you joking,or are you the joke?

As i said before, try a real random generator and you will see.that is not like the "RNG" of kabam.not rigged and manipulated.you believe whatever you want,it is just funny for me.

The problem here is that both of you are defining different event spaces. In the event space where we look at a single flip of a coin or a single spin of a crystal, the probability is always the same assuming that it is constant. If we define the event space as two flips or spinning two crystals, assuming that the spins are independent, then this is where the multiplication comes in.
  • tutyimutyitutyimutyi Member Posts: 326
there is one reason for the multiplication.some heroes are rare and other heroes are super rare, but this company is not frank enough to tell us,like others.multiplication happens usually with average heroes.why?because the drop rate of them is much higher.btw,to compare a the odds of a coindrop, with a crystal, which has a pool, more than a 100,just a waste of time.

Let me write out an example with 4 champs (yes, I know the crystal contains more champs, but let's not make it to difficult).

So 4 champs, lets say AA, SG, GP and HB, every champ has the same odds of being pulled, all 25%. So if I want AA twice, there is a % of that happening, but if I look at the chance of pulling the same champ twice, it's a lot higher.

Roll 1, I either pull AA or one of the other 3 champs.
    AA 25%
    SG 25%
    GP 25%
    HB 25%

Roll 2, the % is the exact same. Still 25% chance for all.

There are now more then 4 different outcomes. I'll list them all.
    AA, AA
    AA, SG
    AA, GP
    AA, HB
    SG, AA
    SG, SG
    SG, GP
    SG, HB
    GP, AA
    GP, SG
    GP, GP
    GP, HB
    HB, AA
    HB, SG
    HB, GP
    HB, HB

There are 16 different possibilities, but as you can see, 4 of those have the same champ twice.

We now have a 4 out of 16 chance (25%) to pull the same champ twice and a 7 out of 16 (43%) chance of pulling AA at least once, but only a 1 out of 16 (6%) chance of pulling AA twice.

The more possibilities you add, the smaller the chance will be. With 10 champ the odd of pulling the same twice is still 10% (100 possibilities, 10 of which will be the same twice) but only a 1% chance to pull AA twice.

What people fail to realize is that pulling the same champ twice will always have relatively high odds, as long as it doesn't matter which champ you pull twice.

I'm still hoping to find out who Padlock is, but untill we know what the % on featured champs is, we don't know if those chances are higher then pulling the same non featured champ twice.

Btw, from a business standpoint it makes no sense to give spenders better odds (unless this is acknowledge). Giving spenders worse odd make sense. Or worse odds the longer they don't spend. But to give spender better odds would mean they need less crystals to get what they want and thus spend less money.

Why the 5* featured is not going to exist anymore?that was the one and only reliable and calculable crystal and without SPENDING any money.the players were able to enchant them roster a lots, without spending any money, just with a good gameplay and hard grind.the new 5* featured will be garbage, without any chance, with a shamelessly low rate,to have the hero, which we want.GMC sales is the keyword.maybe we need to spend just 100,probably thousands of dollars,if we want the hero.it is just a moneygrab, from gameaddicted people.

Just once, show some PROOF!!! Otherwise it is just an angry post saying blah blah and we can all see that. Back up what you say with proof. Answer all the numerous points on this thread alone that show you to be 100% wrong on every point. Maybe then people would listen to you

@Gwendoline great post as ever, but people who dont like to see the truth and/or feel entitled will just ignore it as ever im afraid

I know, but at least I got to show of my math skills. And if even one person reads it and thinks "oh, he, I forgot I learned that" I at least didn't typ it all out for no reason.
