Hulk Ragnarok

Hi guys, for those who owns hulk ragnarok, what is your thoughts on him? Is he a great champ or just a decent champ? Thanks

i would have to say after watching Seatin's video he's alright. has really low crit rate at only 14%.
Worse than Void but better than Sentry.

I have him as a 5* R3 and so far, he's good normally but Demi God to God tier while in "face me" mode. That mode is like Blade's Danger Sense basically.

Say if you're fighting a Magik and Limbo activates. You only take 30% of the damage (he regens 70%) AND this also extends to any damage while Limbo is going so if she hits you with a 5 hit combo, you'll regen 70% of all damage taken. Works vs Mephisto's incinerate and Dorm's degen as well. It also adds a +70% chance to activate a special meaning baiting out specials is easier. He's a great mystic counter basically. Lastly he gains about +99% attack so all the while he's being damaged, he's doing heavy damage. You can heal Block magik so she doesn't heal from Limbo or time it right and power lock her form basic attacks and stun her.

I like him. Handles well, decent Regen, love his L3. No regrets.

I got lucky enough to pull him in my second grandmaster crystal today and got him to 2/35. At that level I can take out a 5/65 Magik without much effort. Limbo does basically nothing and she actually uses her specials instead of waiting for her l3. It's quite nice. And he hits quite hard. After watching seatins video I have to conclude that he didn't know how to use him or research the matches he would be good for since he didn't fight any dorms , Magik or mephisto in the video. I'm gonna go for the featured 5* once I finish uncollected. Hope I can dupe him and get him to 4/55 once I get some more gold and iso.

we were just talking about how irrelevant and ignorant Seatin's vids are, he rushes so fast to push **** out to get hits. All any tier 1 player cares about is how does it work with limbo, degen, and aura. So he takes him to a flare map and kills something in 15 hits lol. Quite embarassing for a content creator, nice guy but clueless when thinking out what people really want to see out of a review and constantly gives wrong advice. A 1 sec screen shot showing the regen from Limbo is more useful than his 20 minutes of useless banter. Unfortunately Joel retired, his vids were way more relevant to any veteran player.

Watching that video made me cringe. I expected better from him, I guess thats because Ive never watched his channel before- just been hearing his name.

@BDLH couldn't agree more. I had a feeling that hulk ragnarok could've been way better than what he had been talking throughout the whole video.

He looks good, but he's essentially doing a similar job to Blade, though not as well. I think he'll be great if you don't have Blade, but if you do then you'll probably bench Hulk Ragnarok.

Check out "idelest" hes similiar to joel in many ways, his channel is starting to gain momentum (hes the guy that just did the 5/65 medusa/spark/blade LOL RH sidebyside)

He doesn't need the dupe or a synergy to do any of that. 5/65 increases attack by over 2k while under the effects of some of the most annoying defenders in war and 70% chance the opponent will trigger a special during Face Me.

I have him duped at r3 now. Still playing with him before deciding if I wanna r4 him for my back-up AQ team. Also have duped Ulrton and x23 so not sure what to do. I did r4 Void yesterday and he crushed day 5 map 5 so I don't really need another AQ champ.

Yeah, but that makes him a specialist champ. It's hard to justify the rankup materials just to kill 3 champs more efficiently, especially as Blade does it better and has broader appeal. If it worked on all degen nodes etc. then it would be a different matter, but I don't believe that's the case, so he's not a general solution to degen in the game.

I would agree that Blade is better but you know... he's the best champ in game currently so that's obvious. But one thing that makes Blade so good is his synergies. He's still amazing without it but with them he's just silly.

Say if Glad Hulk also had a synergy that made his "face me" extend to all or more types of damage over time (say Bane or Bleed or something) like how Blade + GR goes through all villains in game then everyone would be saying things differently. Ghulk's Synergies aren't all that and mostly good for defense it seems.

I'm gonna compare Blade and GHulk on just them alone no synergies and at this point Blade is still better but Hulk ain't bad. With no synergies Blade's Danger sense is only used on 6 champs (Hood, Morningstar, Dorm, Magik, Meph and GR) while Hulk's Face Me is as far as my testing goes seems to affect 4 champs (Magik, Morm, Meph and Mordo's soul bard on his SP2). I would like to think there's more champs affected.

One aspect that Ghulk does better than Blade is his ability to play around MD (On the champs that activate Face Me). Since Hulk makes them get a +70% chance to use said specials, he has an easier time overall. Even skilled players can push say a Magik final boss to an SP3 if she doesn't want to use her specials and same with Dorm. Additionally IF you get hit by said SP3 (and survive) Ghulk will heal up 70% of that damage instantly so you can keep the fight going. If Blade collects a SP3 and lives then you're kinda put on the back foot. You either gotta play perfectly after or find time to heal AND even tho ability Acc is reduced with Blade, there's still a chance a Degen or Limbo will activate. Hulk doesn't care if you use Limbo, he'll just keep charging.

Lastly from playing Ghulk (*which is now at R4 for my btw), I've seen the use of his SP2. All that is it seems (to me) is a way to get in massive damage in a short space of time. If you use the SP2 to get to the 100% crowd or are already on it then you will power lock from basic attacks (like Gwenpool) and Stun. This is overlooked but think about it. If you're playing against say a Dorm on 100% power gain and use the SP2. after the SP2 is done, you'll get in a free and hard hitting 7-9 hit combo because Dorm isn't gaining power from that. You just used a 5 hit combo, then into a 4 hit SP2 then finished with a 7-9 hit combo also. If you got Face Off active, the damage will be pretty good from what I've seen.

TL;DR - GHulk is a Blade substitute, worse in some ways but better in a few.

There is a GIF on Reddit of Face Me working against Starburst. If it works on all degen nodes, it make a big difference in how useful he is or isn't.

If it does work on degen nodes, it's a bug, and will get fixed.
