Better Free Crystal

My free crystal give me potions and energy thats good and thats normal.
But my brother bought a pack of units and "unlocked" an upgraded version idk of the free crystal that now give him shards !
Is this normal ??? Because I bought a pack too and my free Crystal is still **** for me

Oh, that's nice of them. I have potions decaying in my stash... but new players can get shards from their crystals?

We should be saving them for the time we need not open them needlessly;).

But the items they contain if you've been playing since before the 'new users' got their 'new crystals with shards', are useless... The crystals should be reversed, since new users need those potions, while longtime players need the shards more...

This came up awhile back and yes it's true. Basically the mods said, "tough luck."

At the time I was kinda irritated but now I'm glad I get items. 900 free crystals and counting... I'll need a lot for LoL.

I actually just came to the forums looking for this answer...If it is true that it was only for accounts created between 12/15 and 01/16 then i am the unlucky one :'( .

I have never been able to save the 4 hour crystals for potions.

Seems like a significant disadvantage now and is really frustrating after building an almost 400k account.
