blocking, but being hit like I was not blocking

So, I was just trying to finish our AQ and noticed this in several fights: blocking with thumb on screen, character standing in blocking stance, and being hit like I was not blocking. Very annoying. When you are playing well, but it is not transferring to success in the game, it sucks. I mentioned it our alliance chat, and several other folks were having the same experience.

Any suggestions? Is this normal? I cannot believe that it is. It seems to happen on segment 3 of AQ often.

Game is horrible right now. Happening to almost everyone. The game has always had bugs but the last update brought a new level of problems.
