I used to buy units for energy refills to complete event quests, and any extra would go towards feature crystals. Lately I'm saving every unit and pushing for LoL.

Best advice I can give players that are starting out, or are below lvl 60, is to get your mastery straight as a priority. Save for cores, and unlock those masteries, and your in game experience will be much better overall.

After you have unlocked them all, then you have to prioritize. I always keep a base amount for potions or gifiting potions and revives. That way we don't get stuck in a war or AQ.

LAST on the list should always be crystals, as they are plain garbage. I will admit that I buy 1-2 FGMC every 2 weeks for a shot at the new champ, but that doesn't dent my unit stash, as I play arena for 1000 units a week or more anyway.

PHCs my dude! Best investment, because they are premium. They are only 100 units too. I spend $100 on units and open a daily 31 and get 5 3* every time.

Good Unit Deals, Energy refills, and Mastery Cores. You shouldn't buy featured crystals with Units unless you are already end-game and have you unit spending mapped out.(and have figured out you can afford to blow units on crystals and still do everything else you need to do). I am still fairly new so I save for deals like a few of the recent ones (that 850 for 4* awakening gem was music to my ears even though I had no one to use it on... but when I got Star Lord 3 days ago I was able to awaken him and R4 him right away... and then that T4B deal with the shards and sig stones I got too for Star Lord and to R4 my new Iceman I got the next day). So long story short (I know... too late) its good to save up units for deals... plan ahead!
