Spinning out blade crystal. Bug?

Based on the videos i have seen on youtube, and spinning out 2 featured blade 5* crystals, it appears that when you let the crystal spin out there is a 0% chance of getting blade, while tapping the crystal before it spins out awards you an increased chance of getting the featured champion. For example, i saw someone on youtube tap the crystals before they spun out and got a 5/8 success rate. 5x blade from 8 crystals! And then on the other hand, richtheman let 7 spin out and got a 0/7 success rate. Surely this can't be a coincidence.
