For players like me who've completed all of the content in the game, taking 5* champs to rank 5 is pretty much the only avenue of progression worth getting excited about. 5* rank 5 needs 2 T5Bs, 6* rank 2 needs 3 T5Bs.
At the current rate, we're getting 1 T5B every 5 months from event quest rewards, that's a 5* rank 5 every 10 months or a 6* rank 2 every 1.25 years!
Before anyone points to AW Seasons as the solution, that really only benefits the top 20 alliances in terms of progression. You could arguably expand that to the top 70 if you include Platinum 1 with 1/2 a T5B at the end of a 2 month season. Platinum 2 and below barely improve the rate of T5B acquisition at all, it's just a nice bonus, and the majority of players are in gold and below anyway.
Maybe the next AQ season will be the solution, maybe Kabam will start putting T5B rewards in events, maybe act 6 is coming sooner than we think, maybe there will start to be offers, but at this point in time progression feels stagnant.
