So any ideas on how to quickly get awakening stones for 3* champions ?

Lesser solo crystals and greater solo crystals, aquired from solo events

And so, I just do events like savage future to get them?

No, solo events that you can see when you tap the very right bottom icon. Like level up, arena wins, class arena battles, class advancement, hero use etc
