Question about boosts.

Does anyone here know if boosts (im talking about the attack, champion and health ones) can expire mid fight? Im planning my first LOL run, and it would be very good to know beforehand if I should refresh boosts when theres like 1 min remaining of them, or if the boosts will stay active until I either die or finish the fight.
