Why dosent the icon change to silver when we dupe 1*?

just realized a very useless fact, when we dupe our 1* the icon does not turn to silver like 2/3/4/5*. Just wondering?

    Hmmm ... I think 1* champs has NO signature ability associated, so dupping will not awaken anything, therefore they don't change the bronze star into silver star, does this make sense? haha
