Lag when fighting in Alliance Quest

What is wrong with Alliance Quest? There is so much lag when doing a fight that you just end up knocked out, because it's just unplayable with all this lag and it's not just on my end.
When I'm in the arenas or just questing everything seems fine, but when I go to do AQ all hell breaks loose.
I just don't get it, why we have to give up some much potions and units to have a normal fight.
