Mine was Thor I think, in the original tutorial when the game was first released. The opponent used to be hulk. Now it’s captain America and venom I believe.

I think my 1st ever champ was the 1* Black Panther given by the game by default, and I think after playing the tutorial I was given 2* Gamora and 2* Wolverine I think .... Can't remember the exact details but I think that's pretty much it.
