The only thing that matter in the down time is making sure you start with the highest possible multiplier.

Thank you for that piece of information. Starting at zero is better than the ranks being influx throughout the offseason. It would be nice to freeze the multipliers as well. Each war, everyone aims for the “W”. However, with the introduction of seasons, people are more invested and use more resources than before. It would be mutually beneficial of allowing us, the players, the offseason to rebuild the inventory without having it impact the next season. I appreciate all of your feedback. I’m not asking/demanding kabam give rewards for the break between seasons. Only suggesting a way to minimize the impact between seasons.

Otherwise we would be in the top 15 of plat 2. Starting off with he best multiplier you can get will benefit your overall score in the end

And others have noted, it means your alliance will start in a better position come season 2 if you win in the offseason. So I don't fully see the issue. On matchmaking, yeah, it's terrible for everyone. My alliance had 4 wars in a row matching us with alliances around 14 to 15m. We lost those on attack bonus as we're about 3m lower than that and it pushed us from cusp of Platinum to into Gold 2 where we're finishing the season. Yay!

But at the time the difference between tiers was smaller given the smaller sample size. Since that run we’ve been breaking even or close to it on W/L. But so has everyone else, so that’s kept us in the top 20 or so of Gold 2. Maybe we belong in Gold 2 *shrug* but I bet if we’d had better matchups for those 4 wars we’d be in Gold 1. And the reward gap between the two is so massive, it’ll make it that much harder to get out.
