Unfairness much?

So, I've got 2 scenarios. Mind you, neither of which involve me directly, just aware of these scenarios.

Case 1. A former ally of mine, and friend of a friend, had one of his new allies pilot his account during AQ. I'm fully aware it's against the ToS and so is he, a popular YouTuber admitted to doing this and got zero punishment for this, but i digress. Well....while his "buddy" was on his account, he decided to run LoL 100% using a hack. My former ally was not happy. He turned himself and the guy running the hack in, accepting his fate. Kabam decided to give him (my former ally) 30 days ban, which he accepted and moved on from, but he still has LoL showing 100% and the rewards were stripped from him, meaning he can no longer ever go for them. Sucks, but he's cool with it. It is what it is.

Case 2. I strong alliance was busted for buying discount units, and cheating to place 1st in the gifting event. Several members were given only 7 days ban, and now there's screenshots floating around of a few members of said alliance showing 5* Kangs in arena matches.

How is it that those guys got busted cheating, but got to keep their rewards, but my former ally turned himself in, got 4x longer ban, and had his unearned rewards taken away and it's no longer eligible to earn them honestly? Seems kinda unfair to me. Again, neither of these situations pertain to me. Also, i know the rules about calling out individuals and alliances, and i won't be doing that. Should a moderate care to see, PM me, I'll gladly share the screenshots privately.

Answer is money i guess. Discount units or not, Kabam still made money off unit sales where the 3rd party software did not.

I’m assuming this strong alliance are a bunch of whales trying something new. I think they got smaller bans, because how can you milk a whale if their banned? If you take away the whales fish, you don’t get the milk. So they let them keep the fish, so they can carry on milking.
