Let's Make Suggestions About Improving the Process Surrounding Reporting Cheaters/Modders

Every day there is a new thread or five about someone modding and players frustrated with the existing process.

Kabam's current process is what it is, and those threads serve no purpose and are locked by moderation every time. However, it is obvious that the community at large feels frustrated. If you are not a cheater, someone who is cheating is stealing your rightful rewards in every competitive mode of this game.

So, rather than discuss specifics about any particular instance (please don't, it will get this thread locked), let's instead discuss how we think this process could be improved and better for the community.

My Suggestions:
-If you open a ticket about cheating you witnessed, whenever the investigation of cheating concludes, you are notified that the investigation concluded. That would not remotely violate any privacy issues and players would at least know that their report was investigated and a decision was reached, whatever it was.

-Restitution. When modding has been identified and confirmed in Alliance War, or in Arena, go back and award the proper rewards to those how missed out on them. It does not need to be specific, could be a generic message, something like, "A past opponent in war was found to have cheated. Here are the rewards you missed out on. Your alliance has been awarded an additional X points this season as well". Something similar for arenas.

Please add your suggestions to this thread. It is clear that this process could be improved, so let's help Kabam figure it out. Thanks.

AND AGAIN: DO NOT USE THIS THREAD TO BRING UP STORIES OF CHEATING YOU'VE SEEN OR REPORTED. THIS THREAD IS ABOUT SUGGESTING IDEAS TO IMPROVE THE EXISTING PROCESS. LET'S NOT GET THIS LOCKED.

I think these are very good suggestions. The biggest problem I see right now is the stance taken by kabam. I understand it, but that doesn't mean that it isn't leading to a vast majority of the community fully believing "Kabam has shown us time and time again that outside of a few very specific acts in specific content, cheating is ok with them".

Because of the way things are being handled, a large part of the community has decided the sticky post, game mails, and generic responses here on the forum are only posturing and "saying the right thing". This simply leads to some players deciding they want shortcuts to better rewards as well.

Players watch this sort of stuff and they watch the cheaters. It's not difficult for experienced players to recognize cheating. As I said in another non rule breaking thread that was completely deleted, we monitor the cheating alliances. We take note of the members. We discuss the situation with other alliances that have faced them. We warn others. We wait for something to happen. But the members stay the same, log in regularly, maintain (and increase) their war rating. It's hard to fault the people that have come to believe "Kabam doesn't care about cheating". Just like kids watch their parents and learn what's ok and what's not... Players take their cue on this stuff from kabam.
