Why is the Chadwick & Tom Challenge so laggy?

Is anyone else having this problem in this challenge particularly? My controls were fine when I was doing the Infinity War event quest. My blocks are not being registered. My inputs keep dropping. I don't know what to do. I restarted my phone, cleared all apps and it's still laggy as heck. I'm using an LG V30 which is basically brand new haven't even used half of my space up on the phone. So I know it's not my phone and it's gotta be the game. My Wi-Fi is fine too so what gives?
