Rank up 4 Stars?

Hi,
is it worth it ranking up 4 stars? I am kinda new players, have 2 champs over 4000, finally got 3 x tier 4 cosmic catalyst so I can rank up either 4 stars medusa R4-->R5 or 5 stars captain marvel R2-->R3 (none of them is awakened) . what do you think ?

Im still ranking my 4*, i would say to keep ranking them up they are still very useful in most Things like aq and eq. Very useful in arena as the more ranked up 4* you have the better.

Pretty sure Medusa’s will be higher. Depending on your masteries maybe around 5.5k unawakened.

Mines awakened but the masteries and sig level will affect the champs ratings.

Let's say you're looking at the 4* version and 5* version of the same champion.

Generally speaking (there will be exceptions), a 4* at 5/50 is roughly equivalent to a 5* at 3/45. In most cases, the 5* champ will have more attack and health while the 4* will have better stats like critical rating and block proficiency. These attributes tend to scale based more on rank than anything else. Since a rank 5 4* champ is at full rank while a rank 3 5* champ still has two more ranks to go, the base attributes of the 4* with typically be higher (except for attack and health, as mentioned before).

That said, the difference is very slight. Between a 5* 3/45 champ and that same champ as a 4* at 5/50, you won't notice much in-game difference.

Something to consider is the signature ability. If you're planning on using a champ who relies heavily on the signature ability, perhaps a 4* is the way to go as it's much easier to get to a high signature level with 4* champs as opposed to 5* champs. However, some champs do very well with just 1 point in their signature ability (Luke Cage, Gwenpool, etc.). For champs like this, I'd say an awakened 5* would be better than a highly duped 4*.

I have an account that is right around 500k.

I rank all my 4* to 2/20. When I have the extra t1a's, I bring them up to 3-30. If there is a chance I rank them to 5-50, I rank them to 4-40 when I have t4bc in my stash. If they are near god tier, or suit a specific need, then I may bring 4* to 5-50. But right now 5* and 6* are the big deal, so I focus on them.

All my 5* go to r2, no matter what, for arena points. The better ones go to r3, and I have a few at r4.

    Hope that this helps.
