Think you need to update this. I was on the infinite streak and lost my streak multiple times yesterday using 3/30s and 1/25.

Yeah as mentioned in this forum multiple times, due to the introduction of 6* champs in 4* and 5* featured arena, we shall NEVER do the following anymore unless you don't mind the death squad:-

Once entering the steady state (e.g. >#21 onwards)
1) Avoid 1/25 + 1/25 + 1/25 <=== Instead, do 1/25 + 1/25 + 4* R4/40 .... or 1/25 + 1/25 + 2/35
2) Avoid 3/30 + 3/30 + 3/30 <=== Instead, do 4/40 + 3/30 + 3/30 ... or 4/40 + 4/40 + 3/30

These had been this way since the past 4-5 months since the introduction of 6* champs as well as 4*/5* featured arena. So far I'm glad those worked well for me. Have been grinding arena everyday and so for worked fine

I generally don’t have a problem either but noticed the death squad when using the following synergy team: OG bp, Storm, ironfist (3/30s). PI above 9k but not sure why this happens.

Very true, low PI is generally the exact reason, for example, if we bring
.... [OKAY] 1/25 MORDO + 1/25 QUAKE + 1/25 MEDUSA .... likely no problem

however, since most people needs to cycle thru their champs and not waiting for 2 hours again, very soon they will end up with lower PI champs like
... [May NOT be OKAY] 1/25 Venom + 1/25 Cap OG + 1/25 Colossus

this guideline is to be very safe, so there's no chance for death squad to even appear even though we cycle thru, say
... 1/25 Cap OG (low PI) + + 1/25 Colossus (low PI) + R4/40 any dude <--- this any dude will not cause overall low PI anymore

It's not work anymore they changed the algorithm in latest update I got death matches in infinite streak.

Please scroll up and see shchong2’s comment. Algorithms have definitely changed so it seems the strat needs to change too. 3/30 and 1/25 teams will no longer work it seems. Am also getting death matches now after some testing

Here’s a quick comparison I did a few mins ago. Definitely mix up those teams guys.

1/25 + 1/25 + 4/40 or 3/30 + 3/30 + 4/40 could work.

@roberto94, long ago I was in a situation I don't have enough highly ranked champs to properly compete in Arena, but don't get me wrong, I'm NOT going to suggest that you are not ready to compete. I think regardless of what we have, we entitle the chance to compete in Arena and try to achieve the streak, just that we might have to fight much harder than those with a truck load of fully ranked up max'ed out champs at their disposal.

Having said that, if you only 3/30 of 4* collection left, then you may have to try your luck gathering those HIGH PI groups of trios .... say:
.... High PI Mystics = Mordo, DV, Mephisto, GR, ...
.... High PI Techs = Starky, GG, ...
.... High PI Cosmics = Phoenix, Carnage, Medusa, ...
.... High PI Mutants = Rogue, AA, Cable, ...
.... High PI Skills = Blade, GP, Taskmaster, ...
.... High PI Science = Quake, ...

However, if you are willing to spend UNITS to instantly recharge, then it will not be a concern, in fact if you use units to recharge, do it with your highest multiplier Arena Boosts too to maximize your points.

If somehow your combined PI still triggers (undesirably) the death squad, then you would have to fight them as if they are mini boss in AQ, avoid taking hit, evade almost perfectly, bait their SP1 and SP2 and next push over to SP3. I can understand it sucks, but at the end what's behind is ALGORITHM. We really have to workaround it. Continue to build the arena roster, soon you'll not find it a concern anymore.

That seems so unfair though. You pretty much need a deep roster of at least 4* 4/40 to adequately compete in 4* featured. A lot of people don’t have that luxury

Well no need to do that tactic you just wrote. It’s enough to just do R5, r3 and r3 of 4* champs to keep the PI high while still using up r3 of 4* champs and not running out of r5-4 of 4* champs. As strange it may sound it has actually avoided the deathsquad because of the r5 make up for it. Hard to explain but give it a try after achieving the infinite streak plus if doing this way you actually accumulate more points while letting your used r5 recharge while still not running out r5

I do it by playing 3/30 4s till 8, 9 and 10 i use 4/40s, round 11-14 i use 2 4/40s and a max 2 5, 15 and 16 5/50s...17 2 5/50s and a 4/40...after that do not play below 2 4/40s in a squad best if all 3 are 4/40s or 4/40s and a max 2 5.

And choose carefully. Pick the wrong team to face and it is back to the start.

And don't hesitate to break and wait for cooldown if you need to re-use the same 5/50s for 15 and 16! Or drop the units to wake them.

You aren't gonna probably the champ win but at 4 million you do get some decent shard amounts...

@Rap try 4* collection r5, r3 and r3 and you be fine to avoid deathsquad

I don't hit the death squad anymore unless (after round 20 plus) i take a squad who's rating is too low. Anyone know low end limit of squads after 20? As long as i use only 4/40 4s and 5/2 5s (mixed) i am fine. And actually i could probably use some of my top 3/30s but i don't.
