This used to happen quite a bit under the previous ownership. It built up a bit of goodwill (much of which was squandered with 12.0, but that’s a different matter).
I would encourage similar timely and meaningful gestures (not going to call it a gift) when the Contest goes sideways from time to time. File it under basic customer relations/appreciation.
