I've made a spreadsheet here that you can use to see how "good" each of the crystal options are, relative to your personal taste. Just follow the directions on the first sheet to update the results.
It's pretty common sense that the basic pools are the "better" option, but if there's a particular set of champions you are drooling over, this can help you check your odds.
For me, there's virtually no difference between the current base pool, current featured pool, and upcoming featured pool... but the basic crystals starting next week will be meaningfully better.
