Free singularity crystal

So, today we got singularity/yin crystal thanks to brutalDLX but I would like to know on what basis they were distributed.
I am uncollected and received a yin crystal that has 2-4 stars, but some of my alliance members who are still 'collected' received singularity crystal with 3-5 stars.
Are they distributed randomly or is there any issue with that?

I think those playing more than a year get singularity while those under a year get yin. I just found out myself

A couple of my alliance members got 5* void and 3 got a 4*. That's why got curious.

Yeah, this is what I understood too. Make sense looking at few of my mates accounts, some under 1 yr, some over 1 yr. So far fits
