How are war opps chosen?????????

I'm sure this has probably been asked before, but seriously, the last couple of alliances I have been in we have been matched up with some totally insane matches, how can an alliance whose best roster be a couple of r5 4*s be matched with alliances who have MULITPLE r4 5*s?
In our new alliance, we have ONE dude who can actually field a team of 5* champs, which is great in quests and so on.

The war we got now, our strongest dude has a few champs over 8k, the rest of us are below the 5k mark, yet the alliance we are fighting half their players are fielding champs over 8k, its an impossible to win situation when your matched up against an alliance whose weakest player matches your strongest, how on earth are smaller alliances supposed to survive with matches like this?

We are only a small group, so can only do one bg right now, I dont mind losing a war, or getting a bit outclassed, but a match like this is ridiculous.

Our Strongest guys top champs are this

So they aren't the most impressive, but we still have some decent champs, and can field a decent squad, our opponents, on the other hand, are far beyond our strongest guy.

I don't care about losing, I am just peeved of we have no chance of a victory in matches like this, how is there any sense of fair play in a match like that?

@Jawarrior2001 Running one battlegroup is the problem though. The system matches you up purely on war rating. So, it seeks to find the closest possible match for 1 battlegroup at a similar war rating. If your war rating is very high then it limits who you get matched against and puts you in a situation where you face much harder opponents.
