"Micro" realms is a very appropriate and apt title for the current state of the game

Where things that need to become bigger and larger are becoming smaller and less.

I mean, who are the people in Kabam's team that are consciously or unconsciously making things stagnate or worse.

Extra content varies from month to month. First of all, it's extra. If it doesn't feel worth it, it's not part of normal gameplay, so it's not necessary. Secondly, some months might have more than others. If it came with progressively greater Rewards every month, there would be no balance at all. Not every Special Quest will have the most valuable Resources in the game, 5* Gems, 6* Shards, etc. Some may, but there's no such thing as a norm with varied content that spreads out Rewards over a year span.

2 years ago when a t2a was so rare you'd call animal protection services spotting one, rifts could award a FULL t2a and a 5* AG.

two years later with progression now on 6* and said value lowered by a large margin, the top prize for said rifts is now 1/3 of a t2a.

Adding in the energy cost to do them plus the energy refills on extra to cleat beginner and heroic LITERALLY makes it easier to save units or money and buy a half t2a deal for probably the same price of what you'd spend clearing said sections of the game.
