At some point all players start stock Piling 2* the 3* awakening gems they literally can’t use. Then they eventually go into overflow and you end up selling them for gold before they expire. You can’t even use the for one sig level.
However I propose that awakening gems (class and generic) be able to be upgraded.
The cost? Aha. This is where other existing materials can be used/repurposed.
- A full stack of 5 2* awakening gem (one class eg mutant) could be upgrade to a single 3* same class awakening gem by spend 9 same class mastery cores and 3 carb cores.
- Similarly 5 3* awaken gems could be upgraded to 1 4* class gem. Cost 16 class cores and 4 carb cores
- 5 4* awaken gem to 1 5* awaken gem. Cost 25 class cores and 5 carbs.
- 5 5* gems to a 6*. Cost 36 class cores. 6 carbs.
- Basically for class awaken gem upgrade. Full stack + square of next star up in class cores and just that many carb cores
Generic gems would cost different. Same carb value but instead of square of the next star, it requires the next star level only for each class. Eg 5 3* generic gem upgrade would cost 4 each of each class core.
This would enable beginner to medium players who start to stock up these gems at the 2* level to potentially awaken the 3* they need. Similarly for medium players they might be able to awaken the essential 4* before that hard dupe. The cost wouldn’t be as much as the 2500 4* crystal offer, but this way a player can cost what toon to awaken
More advanced players might even get to the point of stock piling 4* having no toons to awaken.
Given you can find or buy class cores this would leave the only real cost and revenue generation with the carb cores.
It would even be possible to upgrade a stack of 25 3* awakening gems to a single 5* awakening gem. It would be expensive but it could be done.
Just a suggestion.
Hope people like it.
